Outed by my social worker

Beverley

As some of you know I have been a bit fragile recently. Well about 30 minutes I was outed by my social worker to my wife. Fortunately this is not a problem - for me. For some it could be devastating and I know that Catherine Sarah is dealing with being outed prematurely.

What happened is that I was out picking up my daughter and this social worker phoned my home number and asked for Beverley. My wife had answered although it would not matter who answered since I am Beverley almost always 24/7. Now imagine that I was not 'out' at home.... whoops!

The therapist has assigned this social worker (or community outreach support worker) to help me with day-to-day issues. Well she nearly caused one and when I see her in two weeks time at my regular meeting I shall be pointing this out. My wife and I are still laughing about this and we will tell the kids over dinner. Given I have felt a bit 'off' recently, this has had me laughing. I think it is doing me some good, but for all the wrong reasons.

I view myself as a career opportunity for the social services dept. I bet they do not do many MTFs.  :o
