It's getting close to summer and unfortunately, I will more than likely spend 99% of the time working in the factory.

My hair is getting long now and I think the ends could at least do with a trim. But, do you think I should keep it this length or let it grow longer?

You may think im crazy because of the whole being in a factory thing but... color it dark. You have lots of red pigment in your face and the hair is making it way too much. Also invest in a good fragrance free clarifying shampoo. All the deposits from dirt and sweat will make your hair awful looking without it. As far as a style, ill think about it when i get home, i have something in mind but i have to get back to work and i dont have time to find a pic.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

Clarifying shampoos are one of the keys to survival during the summer.

i think you should give a feminine shape to it. Ask a stylist what shape would fit best with your facial shape :)

Yeah I'd get the ends trimmed up and get it styled more feminine. I don't think that hair color works for you though. What is your natural hair color?

I say all of the following to help you. So please don't be discouraged.

You're pretty tough to find a good picture for. You need better layering for one. It also looks like your hair is naturally slightly wavy and that doesn't look too great on you. Not only that, but if you're going to be in a factory all day every day, maintaining any kind of nice hair-do is gonna be extremely difficult. I was thinking a style that feathers away from your face but... not only would that make your day extremely hard in trying to maintain it, but it would come down after sweating. Plus well... your cheeks are a bit hollow for that.

If you haven't tried to find something adorable with a clip yet, play with it for a couple hours, you may find something!

Also, you need to look into proper hair care. Your hair looks dried out and kinda thin. Get some salon quality products including: clarifying shampoo, moisurizing shampoo / conditioner combo, perhaps a strengthening combo, something to control frizz (they make sheen oils for this, or even conditioners), and a deep conditioner if you find your ends are messy. Or you can get a keratin treatment. If your ends are messy that means they're overly porous and / or their elasticity is shot and those things are about to split! Not good, cuz once they start splitting, the only way to fix them is to cut them. If you have any questions about any of this... let me know. I've been going to school on this for 6 months and I kinda know my stuff.

Your hair is very bluntly cut. It makes everything look flat and bland. Your hair really needs depth. You can start by getting some texturizing sheers and go to work. Or let a stylist do it. And I was serious about getting a new color, that is a must for you. Red does not work on somebody with red pigment in their skin, or with thick skin like yours which looks pretty porous. You need a cool tone. Black, maybe even with a blue intensifier to cool it off more. That would probably look best on you. I would also lift the bangs a slight bit off the eyebrows, as those are not your high light and when someone has bangs as low as yours, that's what they see. Plus it would put less weight on the fringe and you could poof them out a lil easier, hiding your high hairline better and requiring you to not start the part in your head so close to it.

I wouldn't even begin to figure a style for your hair before doing those things. After doing that, you'd probably look 100x cuter.

It was originally brown, but when I was 18 I dyed it black once. It's never gone back to the brown it was and stayed very much black.

I don't often have time to play with my hair. Using a headband  or hair tie is all I have time for.

As for the style its at right now, I've been more concerned about growing it out and keeping it out of my eyes. Now that it's long enough I am looking to do something with it.  I've never had the same hair cut more than twice in my adult life. I have not found a style I liked.  The funny thing is my hair naturally wants to do this:

Which, if I put all of your suggestions together would give me this kind of look:

Or

Which I guess might translate to something like this.

One little bit of constructive criticism:

Thin the eyebrows.
None of us are Brooke Shields.

Good point. I mean it's not like one side actually has more hair than the other.
Since my eyebrows seem to be such an issue, once again I will be sure to shave them off in the morning when I am getting ready for work. That way I can indicate what mood I am in using a Sharpie and maintain a look of joy, irritation, surprise or annoyance with absolutely zero effort, leaving me able to focus all my efforts on my job. And with it being a marker instead of a pencil, it will last longer.

Thanks ^_^

I was serious about there being more on one side than the other. the rest was a joke . ;)
But when I get my hair cut I will get my eyebrows done so that we can move on and focus less on my eyebrows and how awesome I really am. :P

I've been looking into "threading."

Have you ever heard of it?

Magic Markers now come in several colors!

If you are seeing a laser person for your beard then ask them how much more to do the eyebrows.  Originally she was going to charge $25 extra for face and eyebrows and then when I added in lower arms, chest, and underarms it was free.

But even $25 isn't really that much more than I've paid for waxing them and laser is supposed to be forever after enough treatments.
Blessed Be!

That hair cut would look pretty good on you if you shortened the length of the bangs. You will also need to take some of the weight off of the bottom. Your best feature is that your eyes aren't so deep set and since the weight of your hair is distributed to the bottom, not only does it look unbalanced, but all of the attention goes there.

The eyebrows are easy and can be done by yourself with some tweezers and an initial investment of maybe 45 minutes (perhaps over a few "sessions"), and 15 minutes a day of maintenance. I had BAD eyebrows and took care of them myself and get compliments on them all the time. I'll post a before and after picture later (have to get ready for work). When tweezing, get multiple hairs at once or it'll take forever. Also start at the bottom and work your way side to side until you reach the frontal bone in your skull. Then, trim the tops until they're nicely and cleanly rounded. Lastly, get a fine tooth comb and one of those nose trimmers, rake the comb against the grain of the strands, and trim going against the grain, then with the grain. Obviously that will shorten the strands, making those longer hairs not stick out from your hard work. For help, here's an image of what is considered attractive eyebrows:

http://www.howtoshapeeyebrows.net/

Note, this is a guide. Everyones different. I had pretty wide set eyes so I thinned the outer sides more to make my eyes appear closer together.

For maintenance, pluck regrown hairs every day (or two) and trim every 2-3 days (if your hair grows like mine anyways. Apparently I grow hair, skin and nails so fast I can donate keratin).

And no excuses to having no time. I work 40 hours a week and go to school 27 hours a week and I still find time for my upkeep. Being a girl (especially with our genetics) is very tough work ;)

the only objection i have to anime pics as hair guides is that it is almost impossible to guage it in real life...and when real life hair is cut to that of an anime cut then it looks like you are cosplaying 24/7.

I would recommend going to a good stylist and asking them what would be the best cut for your facial shape. Get some hair stylist magazines once they figure out what shape and length is ideal for you and go through the mags picking one that would work

and plucking eyebrows is super easy. I do it once a week while i take a bath. It takes 4 minutes.

When I had laser done, they wouldnt go near the eyes except between my brow. It was a safety concern.
Besides, with plucking it hurts a heck of a lot less.

I agree. I mean this was how my hair looked in a bob-type cut.

But I had a different cut a while ago that was similar to the ones in the anime style

And I do pluck.
Here's how my brows after I worked on them the other day.

I get my eyebrows threaded every 6 weeks or so...I try to keep up with wild hairs in-between, but eventually they overwhelm me.

It's worth the $10 or so imho.

I really like this style...for a factory it's just right. Simple, keeps hair reasonably under control, very low maintenance.

I drive, so I use those spring clips (about 1 1/2" long, the top curls up to open, and snaps down to close) to control my hair. I usually use 4--two for the bangs, two behind the ears (to maintain my "tendrils", which I love, love, love) and a pony tail.

For going out...I have no idea, sorry.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

She makes me wear metal tanning bed tight fitting goggles and only shoots away from my eye itself.

She has done it for a lot of people and no one is blind yet. I didn't know she would do it until she asked me if I wanted to do it too.

But it is a matter of personal comfort with the safety so YMMV

that was my trusty headband.

Alainaluvsu, This is how one of those style I posted earlier looks in profile  and from the back.

There's a bunch more here and you can see how the style translates to the real world.

for work, you could always throw on a bandana in a rosie the riveter style.

It's a cute cut... but you have to have the right profile for it. That's what's called a 45 degree graduated bob, and I couldn't tell you if it'd look good on you without seeing a profile view of you first.

And that doesn't look like what you had. What you had was straight along the jaw line. It looks like a blunt bob.... and something tells me you haven't had a hair cut since.
