I am thinking of going to Dr. Ousterhout for some revisionary work on the lower jawline/chin areas and I am wondering if anyone has gone to him recently?  Is his work still good and is if so how did you like the outcome.  Im looking for someone that has had some recent work done by him.

I have seen some recent examples of his work first-hand up-close, and I would NOT use him for FFS. I think there are far better choices out there for FFS surgeons. I was also considering him myself.

Could you tell me where you have seen these recent examples or pm me the link?  I am very interested in seeing recent pictures.  I have only seen examples that are 10yrs old or older.

In my opinion, Dr. Ousterhout is still the master. His recent work is maybe better than ever. Good alternatives to consider are Spiegel (if you are already androgynous) or Suporn (whose recent work is amazing.) I think Dr. Bart does good boney work but his noses leave something to be desired. You could probably save a lot of money by doing everything but the nose with Dr. Bart and then going to a world-class rhinoplasty specialist.

Anyway, check out this recent Dr Ousterhout patient. You can find her full album on Flickr.

I am post op..My face is in my avatar.  The dr that screwed up my lower chin/jawline and neck..I am looking at Dr. O first.  I have surgery already scheduled with him, but i was wondering if there is anyone better in the states.

Very nice pics btw!  I still feel Dr O is the best, but I can not find any recent before and aft pics.

I put the date above each photo was taken. They indicate that the surgery was done somewhere in 2011 or 2012.

What went wrong with your previous surgery, if you don't mind me asking?

Dr. Zukowski & Dr. Spiegel are the other two names that come up most frequently for state-side facial surgeons. They are very highly regarded. I wouldn't say better though.

A friend of mine went to Dr. O last year. I think she looks gorgeous, but he damaged her vocal chords doing her tracheal shave - not horribly, but enough that she lost some of her upper range / struggles more to maintain it. She feels he's gotten too old. I don't know. All the doctors have had complications at one time or another. It is fairly serious surgery and sometimes you just get unlucky.

I went to Spiegel and I'm super happy with my results. But I know people who have gone to him and are really unhappy because they feel he wasn't aggressive enough... *Shrug* I'd check out a few doctors and go with whoever you feel most comfortable with / whose vision is most inline with your own.

I don't think that's a good FFS example. It's an example of excellent styling and 'less is more' make up.

First and foremost: dyed black/dark hair tends to make a face look harsh and masculine, even on a ciswoman.
Dyed black/dark hair casts 'shadows' onto a face, emphasising masculine features.

Second: heavy (dark eye) make up tends to make ones face look harsh, older and tv'ish tacky, even on a ciswoman.

The blondish dyed hair and softer make up on the second 'after' pic makes her face look much softer and more feminine.

And makes me wonder what it would have looked like on her pre FFS.

Some MTF don't necessarely need (full) FFS but a course in make up, styling etc.

Hi Michelle,

Nice to see you here again,

What is wrong with your chin? I think you look perfect as you are.

i dress with a extreme gothic aesthetic and am not willing to change that, so i guess that just means more surgery to pull it off and still look feminine  lol meh

Hi Dahlia, as the woman in the picture I thank you for liking my natural hair color and relatively minimal make up (the picture below). Nice to hear I've gotten better :) The FFS was done in April and I'm happy with it. And no, I don't think I could have gotten away with just styling better. Hugs, Beatrice.

Hi Michelle, I think Ousterhout is doing good work, but who am I to judge -- I'm an amateur at this, as I hopefully have undergone such procedures only once with only one doctor. I suspect you have a broader set of experiences than myself, and I follow your path to perfection with great interest. If you are looking for alternatives to chin work, and are really into exploring all options, there are some Korean doctors to look at; otherwise, in the US, Ousterhout is a good address indeed. Hugs, Beatrice

Hey, welcome back!

I thought that Dr. Z did your FFS?

Best of luck. I second that you look great.
