Just posting this in case it might be a help.  I started transitioning in 2003.  Dealt with discrimination at work and especially with my neighbors.  It was very hard, but I just did 2 things.  I was honest with everyone and did my best to be a good man.  Took a long time, but after 9 years of being tenacious and honest, everyone sees me as the man I am.  And I feel so free.
For those of you that are afraid of dealing with hardship.  First, i hope that your road to freedom does'nt take as long as mine...and is it worth it....yes!  When you come out on the end....having that freedom.....to be you, and no one questioning anymore.  It's the greatest feeling in the world.

I'm glad you have finally found your freedom.  I only hope one day that I can find mines too when I transition.

Hi Malachite.  I know for some the journey is easy.  for others, like myself, it can take years.  Just keep believing in yourself.  Be honest with everyone, and don't be easily offended.  If you look at the meaning of the word offense....it actually stands for this place in a trap that you hang bait from.  So, to be offended, means, you are taking the bait.  Stay strong my brother, you WILL make it.  And thanks for the thumbs up.  I appreciate it.
