I recently got a brand new Tritop because I've gone up in size in the past few months and my XS kills me now. I've washed it a couple times in the past week or two and only wore it to work, and at work I wear a rather loose jacket over my clothes so I never really paid attention to how my chest appears in my normal clothes with that binder on. I'd fill the sink with water and laundry soap... turns out it wasn't actually laundry soap but fabric softener. I always wondered why the water didn't foam up quite so much...

Anyway, it's gone through two washings in a week with nothing but cold water and fabric softener; does that damage the strength of the binder at all?

I can't be sure or anything.

But I'd think that fabric softener wouldn't make it stretchier or damage it, just make the fabric somewhat softer for a while? I doubt you've done significant damage one way or the other anyway..

Just check how it binds now, if it's okay, no damage done right. 'Cause you don't know better anyway.

I wouldn't think so.  My binder has gone through a washing on average once a week, for the past 1.5 years.  I put it in the washer, and then in the dryer.  But as always ymmv.

All right, thanks guys. It doesn't seem like any damage was done. Just wanted to make sure.
