I met someone just like me!

This happened quite a while ago...and, in a very small town such as I live in, it is VERY unusual!  I don't know why I didn't post this sooner - it is an experience that I will never forget.  After you read it, it may not seem like much to you all here, but again, it was a very unusual event, for me.

I was walking out of Taco Bell, with some "splurge" food, one day, and as I got to the door, I heard, "Nice shirt".  I turned to see who said it, and there were two young people, sitting there, looking at me.  Truthfully, I couldn't tell if they were male or female - they both, basically presented, as I did, only a much, much, more, attractive version!  Truly, I was just dumb-struck, with how beautiful, they really were!  Looking back, I think they were two females, appearing androgynous, in hairstyle and dress.

I was amazed, and greatly pleased, that they would even say "hi", to me.  My "shirt", that day, was just a brown plaid button-down, from the men's section of American Eagle, layered over a brigh yellow t-shirt (in fact, almost ALL the clothing I wear, is from AE - yes, even the guy's briefs!)  So, I felt that they were just recognizing our "alikeness", and finding a way to acknowledge it.

But, all I can say, is that feeling of seeing someone "like me", was very strong, and wonderful!  I remember them, kind of looking at me, appreciatively (not in an attraction, sort of way), and I was just staring back at them, not even knowing what to say!  I wanted to sit and talk with them, and ask them all kinds of questions, because I had felt that I had finally "come home"...it was great.  But, I didn't think a couple of "upper teens", would want a "elder", sitting down with them, asking them questions!  So, I ended up just saying "Thanks", and "have a nice day".  While I was sitting out in my car, I could still see the two, and it looked like they were still looking my way.  I didn't want the moment to end!

Well, I hope this makes sense to some of you - most of you have probably had more encounters like that, than I have - but you know, that your "first", is the one that is always the best!  LOL   Thanks for listening, all.  JinJan.

That made me laugh.

I can't say all complements come from these people, but all complements that come from strangers are.
