I agree hon,
The work was commissioned by Bronnie Ware as an end of life counsellor and she received reports from people in terminal respite care. It was a comment about people who could no longer make a decision about they wanted to do, they were dying and are now dead. So the purpose of the book, I think, I read the review not the book, was in what would you pass to others that you regret as you die. The implicit understanding was that they have no way of changing anything. But how do we reflect on the advice of these people?
Leave it there for know.
