Hi, so I'm not really sure what to do about this whole progesterone thing.  I've been on it through one cycle so far and im just being flooded with information saying its useless and actually unhealthy for me to be on it and I'm not sure what to do.  This is also confusing since its been giving been crazy panic attacks, I had to leave class tonight just so I wouldn't burst out in tears.  It's a class of like 5 people so im sure they noticed me breathing heavy with watery eyes so I'm not sure what to do.  Also the first thing out of my teachers mouth was "Name, you look different!" which was awkward as hell and not sure what to do on that front either.  I don't notice a difference its only been couple months.
I may side with the angels, but don't think for one second that I'm one of them.

Thats actually the same thing I read that got me scared XD.  I wanted to add one more question, but I can't really phrase it in a way that is allowed here so if someone could P.M that would be great!

I want milk ducts (~shrug~ why not? nows the chance they have to grow...might as well let them). I don't plan to take progesterone forever, but for a year or two while things develop should be fine :)

You need to talk to your doc about what kind of progesterone you are on. Synthetic progestins (such as depot provera) are known to have nasty side effects. Ask about micronized progesterone as it's bioidentical to naturally occurring progesterone without the side effects from synthetics.

I agree. I developed milk ducts and began full lactation. I do plan to breastfeed soon.  Progesterone is one of my meds.

It's also horribly expensive, unfortunately.

I take Prometrium (micronized progesterone) - daily, not cycled. Mostly because I was getting insomnia and jitters/irritability from the estrogen-only regime (I'm post-op and my T level is pretty much nil).

It seems to be one of those things that works for some of us and not for others. It sounds like it isn't working for you, Korra. Generally not a great plan to take anything that makes you feel like ->-bleeped-<- unless you absolutely have to. Feel free to PM me if you like.
