Maybe this is a stupid question, due to the fact that HRT might change your physiology.
But, during transition, have any of you guys suffered from pelvic joint pain if you tried to change your gait to look a bit more masculine?

I try really hard to be a little more "butch" when I am working, and I am having a tremendous amount of problems with my hips and lower back, and I was wondering if it was related to that?

It could be, Thundra. I didn't have any of that, but my walk was always masculine, so I didn't need to change it. Even small changes in the way you sit, walk, or in the shoes you wear can cause strain on back muscles you don't usually use.

An exercise ball or pilates core strength exercises may help.

Thanx for the suggestion Dennis.

It has always been a struggle for me, so I envy you.

It's easy to hide in the winter with long bulky clothing, but in the heat...:: sigh ::
I don't look forward to summers.

Dear Thundra,

One large difference between men and women is the muscle mass. (I have read that males have 50% more muscle mass than females.) However I always read a lot of posts from FTM talking about I need more facial hair.  Then I read a lot of posts of MTF needing boobs.  Yet a genetic man with large muscles, no facial hair and large boobs is viewed as a man in society.

The gluteous maximus is a massive muscle and it is very strong in males.  The quads are also much stonger in males.  Developing these muscles and abs and latimus dorsi should make your walk more masculine.

Now how do you do the reverse?
