When I was looking for surgeons I made enquiries to Pichet and he sent me some photos of his work. They were enough to send me running. I still have them so if anybody is interested I will forward them.

Yes, you go girl! He's one the best surgeons around. It's been two years now for my SRS surgery with him at Bangkok Plastic Surgery. I still keep in touch with him as I'm considering to go for another treatment there, plus Thailand is my favorite country! I heard some negative comments about him online and it just breaks my heart. He's a real dedicated and caring doctor. He always responses my questions in a fast and informative way. And the results he gave me have changed my life since.  I feel thankful to him and I wish for other girls to be lucky and happy like me.

That's a glowing *first* post (posts: 1)...

As I predicted: new victims will show up. Victims who don't know how to use the 'search box' on susan's or don't know how to  use google.

One thing I hate about getting testimonials on this forum is that people personalize their experiences too much. Instead of saying I had surgery with X and I experienced x, y and z. People demonize the surgeon or give him godlike status. All I want to know is who you had surgery with if your happy with the results and if you needed revisions or had complications.

..plus images, please. Some of those images make me want to peek between my fingers or hide behind the sofa.

this is true, but this thread was/is about Dr Pichet and how everyone did, which can include horror stories or success with or witout mass amounts of details.
I didn't use this Dr, mainly because it seemed he was a miss 70% of the time so I have nothing to share except if someone chose's this dr be aware he may not be doing you surgery.

I second reading Mandy's story... I was having SRS with Dr Suporn virtually down the street a few days before (or after, I've forgotten:) Mandy, reading her posts on this forum from my hotel bed while i was recovering for a few weeks. Simply put, I (and a lot of others here) was terrified for her. Every surgeon misses occasionally, but Mandy's aftercare sounded nonexistent and the stuff of nightmares. Be very careful.
Blessings,

D

But on the other hand everything turned out to be fine with her.

That Mandy had tremendous post-operative pain and suffering, terrible aftercare instructions, and horrendous infection issues when she got home, should serve as a warning to anyone considering this particular surgeon.

At one time she even thought her neovagina was going to be non-functional.

Some of Mandy's post-op topics:

Not on my list at all.

Incidentally does anyone know how Mandy is going?

People the IP address of the poster and of Dr Pichets clinic are geographically rather close so I am removing the post as potential spam.

Back in July when I was trying to decide which surgeon I saw the post and so many warnings, well I just read through Mandy's post and all I can say is WOW and while some say while he has managed 1 or 2 good reviews, I am super glad I chose my dr. as bad as it might sound I feel this dr should get a lynching, he may be the new Dr. Brown. Scaaaaary - after reading as much and hearing as much I would never choose Pichet or PAI (preecha)
If anyone is considering Thailand I would only suggest Chettawut, Suporn, or Sanguan Kunaporn
