Hips and HRT

Would anybody be able to tell me what HRT has done/is doing for their hips? How fast, if any, do hips grow wider once one is on HRT?

I've been on HRT for 11 months.  I don't know my pre-HRT measurements, but I know my hips/bum have gained some.  My hips measure now at 36" (waist 28"/chest (underbust) 32"/weight 110 lbs)

All in all, as said, YMMV.

All in all, as said, YMMV.

ymmv is so true. 23-33 and 125 lbs here and started HRT two months ago at 24-32 and 130.

So am I not going crazy then?!?!?! Ive been taking hormones since just before my 20th birthday and just recently (like its literally been this week) ive notcied my hips are genuinely wider. And I dont mean that fat has been redistributed, I mean like, genuinely, the bones are wider. I have measurements that I took before I noticed this however they were taken only a month ago... its too bad I dont have info from when I first started my transition so I could compare my numbers...
So I guess that, since im young, I can even look forward to more hip growth?!?!
This is getting my hopes up!!! This was the one thing that was really bothering me since theres defs no surgery for female hips

I've been on HRT for about 4 months now...my hips haven't changed (and I don't expect them to), but my thighs have changed. Before, my skin could only be grabbed by a thin layer of skin (with tensing of the muscle underneath).

Now when I tense, I can grab a much thicker skin layer. It's obviously fat or something similar, just from the squishy-ness of it, and the super-soft feel of the thigh surface area. My net weight has been going down since the start of the year, btw.

Lower leg hasn't changed that much yet, but it also is softer to the touch.

I suspect once I lose more pounds, my waist will be smaller than my hips. I'll have to wait and see though...*fingers crossed*

Yep.  Mine widened between age 23 and 28 WITHOUT HRT.  Also gained an inch in height.  My dad didn't stop growing until 28 as well, my mom did his alterations.  He had no hips.  I'm lucky....I guess?

As I understand, HRT does not have much if any effect on the bone structure but rather it has an affect on the muscle mass and fat distribution bringing about a more feminine shaping over time
