I can't really go with any of the options in the poll. I sexually enjoy very much what I have, but it's the wrong thing and that makes me feel bad. I'll get lower surgery if it ever comes within reach financially, and I am very particular about which methods I want and how far to go with it.

I dunno. My breasts give me so much dysphoria that it's hard to see past top surgery for myself personally. Tunnelvision.

Sometimes these forums (as well as many other places) will chew a person up because one or two people take offense to something that wasn't intended to be offensive.

Please don't refrain from posting what you think and believe. If a few sensitive people are bothering you... then try not to worry about it; address them about it if necessary, however. Sometimes, people being sensitive can be insensitive to other people.

Aw, don't worry about it. We all say things we don't think anyone will have a problem with, and next thing you know, someone is painting a big target on our roof and calling in the Navy. Just try to be a little less...rude, lewd, and crude. :P

I agree that people can be too sensitive sometimes just ignore them and mov on with your day because you opinion is just as valid though i don't always agree with people I know that they are free to say what they think as well

People can be hyper sensitive when it's talking about genitals - maybe just remember they belong to someone, especially here it's not just talking about hypothetical procedures.. If surgery isn't for you that's great and you're completely within your rights to an opinion.. You will not find anyone here who will not allow you an opinion. At the same time if it is something in your future well hey that's great too! Just a matter of choosing the right words to get your point across without making it sound as if you're being disrespectful to the person who did choose to have the surgery - going through all the pain, financial battles and struggles etc...

I for one am looking to book my phalloplasty in Jan 2013 -I'm talking to both Miro and Rados in Serbia. I have always hated my natal genitals - I have a lot of trouble even just saying the biological term of what I happen to unfortunately have. I used to say that I would wait until the procedures are improved some more but honestly how long am I supposed to put my life on hold for - 5yrs, 10??! Nah, I've been on hold my entire life never done anything or gone anywhere because I'm not comfortable enough to walk out of my comfort zone and risk getting 'found out' - NO MORE!! I will complete my transition (in my eyes) and then be free to finally live MY LIFE as I always should....

Also congrats, are you booking it for Jan 2013 or just calling at that time to book it?  What an exciting time for you!

Malachite and Nicolas - if you guys, or anyone else for that matter, is interested in seeing a variety of newer results, you're free to send me a private message with your email address and I can send you the information that I sent to Casey. I dont mind doing that for anyone, it just details a little bit about each technique, roughly what scarring to expect, and some more up to date results of different surgeons. :)

And Aussie Jay, good luck with everything. I hope you manage to sort everything out and have all your planning run smoothly for Jan 2013 :) Miro and Rados produce some really impressive results dont they? And you get to experience an interesting part of the world! (Albeit, mainly from a hospital bed, but hey, theyve got windows... :p)

I'm a bit confused about the sensation you get with a phalloplasty. I've heard you can achieve an orgasm but if it's taken from your arm just for example, wouldn't that just feel like someone running your arm?

Tom - Many guys will either orgasm by the motion stimulating their original/mini penis, or, since many surgeons now are improving their techniques, the phalloplasty can develop erotic sensation (not just tactile, like the touching of an arm) due to the nerves present in the skin graft, being connected up to nerves from the original penis. So the erotic sensation spreads and develops throughout it all, or atleast parts of it. This coupled with the original still being able to be stimulated is how guys can orgasm.

Thanks for that pal. I was worrying I'd have to choose between a penis and a orgasm lol.

That's certainly new to me!

Do you know if ejaculation is possible after a phalloplasty?  I know it's possible after a metoidioplasty for some guys but I've never heard of that happening after a phalloplasty.  My thinking is that if one has the ability to do it after a metoidioplasty and that person decides to get a phalloplasty later then the possibility should still be available if the Skene's gland wasn't messed with.

Then again I could be way off the mark.
