Obviously, my post was not directed to genderqueer individuals, it was meant only for TRANSSEXUAL MEN. Those of you who claim the phallopasty results are not realistic enough, Have you seen the video I posted with my comment? Please look at the video before commenting. The phallopasty produces a very good results in regards to appearance, functionality, and sensitivity. In fact a lot of cissexual men get a very similar procedure done to treat erectile dysfunction disorders. There are risks in every surgery. Like the phalloplasty(FTM), the vaginoplasty surgery(MTF) is not exactly perfect, but is better than the alternative. Surgery only can progress if there is a high demand for it. Would you agree?

First off, yes, I did watch your video. Secondly, I understand what you are saying. However, I believe you are missing a point that a lot of folks don't consider. Just because someone chooses not to do something that is common within their communities does not change that they are a part of that community. You don't have to be pro-war to support your country's military personnel, you don't have to own a gun to be American, and or you don't have to be Christian to be patriotic (in the American sense.) And for some, what is in the mind is what is important and the body is just that - a body. Take Christian Scientists or Rastafarian. Christian Scientists believe that their faith and prayer will keep them healthy and heal them. They will choose to die rather than seek medical intervention. This doesn't make them bad people innately, it is a religious conviction. Rastafarian do not believe in modifying their bodies, which is why Bob Marley died instead of getting a surgery that could have easily saved his life, or at least prolonged it. Both groups can still have transsexual members - saying that those people are not transsexual in their identity or mind is saying that because they place their own religious beliefs as more important, they are someone how less valid that someone else. I don't think that is fair, nor is it right.

Saying that someone cannot be a member of a community because they have a different set of priorities does not work and it is a rigid category when the world is grey, not black and white. What if they cannot afford it? What if they do not heal well? What if they have a medical condition that would prevent them from seeking surgery or hormones? I know of at least one guy on this forum who was on hormones and chose to go off of them because they made him feel bad. What if someone is terrified of surgery to the point where it is a phobia? Are you saying someone who is poor or afraid is less transsexual? What about people who live in an area where it is unsafe for them to transition? Are they less of a man or woman for trying to keep themselves safe? What about people who chose not to transition for reasons such as family or career? Are they less transsexual because they chose to put their family before their own desires and wants? People can be more than one thing, and they can hold different priorities and still be a part of this community. What makes us a community is that we fundamentally feel our gender is out of sync with out bodies. A community is made of shared experiences and feelings, not a set formula that everyone follows to a T.

I'm not saying that how you feel is wrong - you are free to have your own opinions on what ever you chose. However, I do not believe you can ascribe your personal opinion to me or any other person. You don't have to understand anyone else's motivations or feelings to respect their identity. It doesn't make us enemies or put one at a greater level than another. It just means we are human.

Im pretty sure you can choose the size (it might depend on the surgeon) but most surgeons recommend that you dont get more than 6 inches!

Im not sure which ones have erection devices but I have now put the names of the surgeons for each one in the photo descriptions.

When the docs can surgically create a penis that levitates on its own and ejaculates (even if not real sperm), then I'd say it works a lot like a "real" penis. The ones they're making now? Uh, no, not so much.

I know I'll be flamed for this, but seriously, I think people are being FAR too sensitive. You ask what people's personal preferences are, and you get precisely that. If Tad doesn't want a phallo because he knows the technology currently creates nothing like a natal penis, that's his business! That's just how some of us think.

Personally, I could say I'm offended by the comments from people who say, "I can't imagine why ANYONE wouldn't have a phalloplasty!" but I figure everyone is entitled to his or her opinion (though that certainly doesn't mean they're right). I'm fine with my anatomy down there, because it works. I'd be overjoyed if, one morning, I woke up with a penis, but it's not going to happen. In the meantime, there's no way in hell I'd spend all the money and time to have something that only resembles what I should have had. I have what I have, and I make the best of it. I already have 2 1/2 inches in my pants thanks to T, and if I pumped, I imagine I would be pretty satisfied with the results (and my partner already is satisfied). My life is about SO much more than sex. I'd rather save my money for things that will edify me.

I certainly don't believe phallo is for everyone or expect everyone to enjoy or like the way phallos look and they are welcome to an opinion.  That said an opinion about a very personal surgery can and should be expressed in a way that doesn't diss or put down others surgery results (which is exactly what saying "phallos look like (x)" does with x being something negative or hurtful.  A simple "I don't care for the results" or "phallo is not for me" or "current phallo technologies don't meet my needs" works fine.  No need to take it further.

I know some guys are sensitive about their junk.  I personally don't care what other people think of metas.  Diss them all you want if they aren't right for you.  In an ideal world I'd want a 3" flaccid/6" hard dick that gets erect and ejaculates.  Since that isn't gonna happen in my lifetime, having a 1" flaccid dick that gets over 2.5 inches hard and has ejaculated twice so far and is pleasurable is fine by me. The alternative (no surgery) was not for me.  Not trying to disparge those who can't afford surgery, as that is beyond control of many people, and not trying to disparge those who choose no surgery.

Nah, in all seriousness I think the mtf forums tend to be very laid back and supportive and all-inclusive, with the exception of maybe two or three people tops.

I think it could possibly be feasible in a generation or two's time seeing as they've grown a trachea from stem cells.  Although of course we'll probably be the last people to get this technology after people with life threatening illnesses and once transphobic people stop trying to stop us.

I really, really want MLD phalloplasty. It'll be a good 15 oe 20 years before that's a possibility, and there will probably be some new techniques by then, but that's what I want based on what's available now.

they've supposedly done it on rats and rabbits. there's a lot of research being done that we never get to hear about, and i choose to believe that they will find ways in the future. the question is just how expensive it will be to have your penis grown in a laboratory.
