http://www.idealist.org/view/internship/KHz8fHCznbJd/NCTE is seeking legal interns for the Fall 2012 semester or 2012-13 school year. We welcome applications from students currently enrolled in law school. Legal internships are unpaid. NCTE will work with a student's university to assure academic credit is received.
We also work with 3L students and recent law school graduates on a case-by-case basis for law fellowships. To be considered for a law fellowship, applicants must have an external financial sponsor.
Legal Intern/Fellow Responsibilities
- Provide research and analysis on legal and/or policy issues
- Track local and federal legislation and policies
- Educate policymakers and key stakeholders
- Assist transgender activists in lobbying visits
- Attend hearings, coalitional meetings, and community events
