With a new Governor and state legislature in place, there are now new opportunities to make progress on LGBT issues in Albany.  So now it's time for us to step up and make that change happen.

On Tuesday, May 1, 2007, join hundreds of New Yorkers who will be traveling to Albany to help win marriage equality, transgender non-discrimination protections, safe schools for LGBT youth, and more funding for our community's health and human services needs.

Don't worry if you've never lobbied a legislator. We will provide you with the training you need. For some of you, going to Albany means that you have take a day off from work, and that isn't always easy. But we won't win this civil rights struggle unless we all come together at critical moments to show our community's strength.

LGBT Equality & Justice Day on May 1, 2007 is one of these critical moments. We need you to be there. Come stand alongside parents and families, priests and rabbis, union leaders and business executives and help make New York State a place we can all be proud to call home.
