On Friday night I got an offer. Really it was like I was being handed one of my dreams. It really would require putting transitioning at the very least on hold though. It was like in that moment I realized how much more important being me was to me than anything else. I was confident about my decision before, but that was like an OMG moment for me. What should have been a really difficult decision just came like it was nothing.

Is that weird? Has anybody else had a similar moment?

Oh, I politely turned down the offer (in my head I was screaming it). I managed to get here once, hopefully I'll make it here again, but even if I don't finding myself has been way more of a dream come true.

Alexis, what that sounds like to me is "confidence."

Confidence in your identity.
Confidence in your abilities.
Confidence in the direction you are headed.

I agree with Jamie!

To find a place of peace in yourself and know that being true to yourself is what many great epic poems and mythological stories are all about!  You've had the "Hero(ine)'s Moment" that so many great figures have had before!

I am so amazingly proud of you for facing it and making your choice!

So many people place monetary concerns and emotional attachments over what's truly important - self realization.  We all have a tendency to be dependent and addicted; to S.O.'s, to money, to avoidance, to shelter, to fear, (to chocolate) and we tend to put ourselves "behind" the addiction.  It's so amazing to see the people around me say "ya know what?  I deserve freedom!"

You go girl!

Thats exactly what it was :D
What was so weird about it to me was that I don't think that I ever had a moment where it all came together like that. It was like a moment of epiphany when realized how sure of myself I was. I mean it wasn't even a choice. I guess I just wanted to know more if others had any similar experiences
