Can anyone who has successfully obtained a new passport from F to M with their new name help me out? As I understand, I need:

1. Deed poll
2. Letter from doctor
3. Birth certificate

Is there anything else? My birth certificate hasn't been changed yet, I'm not on T yet. CharingX said I had to get a male form of identification before my next meeting... Any help is appreciated. Should I put a letter in myself? Idk... They charge a lot of money and I don't want to waste it! £112 :(

Thanks

I used my deed poll and a letter from the gender clinic but the passport office wrote to me and said the letter wasn't sufficient (It said I had been living as male since....) they needed a letter that said I had been living as male since... and that this was to be a permanent change for me.

They won't charge you any more if they have an issue, they'll just write to you and request whatever it is they need.

I think you only need a birth certificate if you aren't replacing an existing passport (or if your existing passport has expired).

Yeah, I changed mine with just my deed poll and DR's letter too. No need for Birth certificate... thankfully.
And this was a few years ago.
