They taught us in like 9th grade to never say where we *really* live on an Internet forum  :o

O.K., totally understandable. Especially with the kind of crazy people that are out there.

I have a few ideas for dates for the Seattle meetup.  I'm thinking July 21st, July 28th or August 4th.  All are weekends, so that would make it easier.  Would any of those dates work for people?

For the Portland contingent, if you can come up with a date, I think me and brooke could combine forces to make it.

This works for me. I think it would be good if the locals worked on the dates. They would know what is going on in the ares.

Create a Portland get-together...Locals always know the best places to go (or at least, the best places to not go!)

That'd be an overnighter for me...so a Saturday night would be best, hint hint.  :)

Maybe to make things a bit simpler, we could start a thread that is for the Pacific Northwest. That way no matter where we meet, everyone from the area will know. Of course, the finer details will be made via pm for protection and privacy.

All 3 weekends are good for me. I'm in "Shonomish" (security reasons say I can't say where it actually might be LOL  ;) ) county, so if anyone needs a ride...

Either 7/21 or 8/04 would be better, if I had to narrow it down...but don't try to please everyone (even me, l'il ol' me, beeeautiFUL meee...*primps hair* :P ) , the gtg won't happen if you do.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

I talked with Brooke and the 21st would be a great idea to do it.  I figure we could get lunch and then tour seattle and overall just have a great time and whatnot.

Felix

Cool yeah I'm most likely to be free on a Saturday anyhow for a pdx meet. Stay tuned. I'm not sure what my outlook is at the moment.

I'd be interested in coming down to the Portland meetup, pending if I can find a ride form someone up here who wants to go as well.  I would help pay for gas and whatnot.

OK, we have a firm date and time now for the Meetup in Seattle.  It's at 1:00pm at Cactus Restaurant in Madison Park on July the 21st.  If anybody wants instructions ot get there, then by all means message me before hand.

I must ask before messaging me that you would post in this thread so that we know who is coming.

A PDX meet-up would be cool.

I would love to go, however the wonderful Bank of America shafted me out of $70 this month, so no bus pass. Hope I can make the next one.  :)

Although I told you this in PM, if you'd like to go and if you can make it to the restaurant, I'm certain that a couple others would be willing to drive you home.  That is if you're still interested.

Whoever At A Loss is, I'm sorry you couldn't make it, and to everyone who was there - twas fun and I'm glad I got to meet you. We should make a thread for a followup Portland meetup. Or maybe there already is one. I should get caught up.

Hey everyone, I'm planning on another Seattle meetup for Susans in either Late October or Early November.  I'm thinking we meet up at either a restaurant or some public place.  Not sure if Cactus Restaurant would be a good idea again, since Felix has been there.  Then, more Seattle fun on Cap Hill or maybe the International District.  Either way, I hope people do show up.  Give me an idea for a date and time to start everything off.

Has a lot to do with money of course but I'm pretty sure I can be there. Later is better - every month I pay for one major expense and my cat still needs a rabies shot and I've been really hoping to get my first pro massage sooner or later (I'm grasping at straws in my efforts to retain sanity) and I still owe 80 to Comcast and 75 to Centurylink. So early November is best for me, or even December. But I'll  show up even if it's earlier.

Just a thought, why dont we mix it up a bit? We can meet in Seattle one time, and then in Portland another.

Sounds awesome!  Maybe one in the San Francisco area?

Greyhound just quoted me a minimum of 203.40 for that. Which seems kind of insane, but I don't know. I used to have a friend who worked for an airline and could get me free tickets, and lol now I wish I hadn't come out to her. :P

I think the first weekend in November would be a perfect day.  So, that would be Nov 3rd and 4th.  I have a few ideas, but I want to hear yours.

Cactus was not a bad place. My favorite part of it though was getting to use the local bus system and venture into the neighborhoods. I personally would love to visit the library or a history or art or science museum. Also I don't know how often this is updated but it's intriguing. https://sites.google.com/site/seattlemetrobushiking/

We can definately do that.  The modern art museum is on the waterfront just walking the other way and there's also the museum right near the space needle.

Whoa, I really want to go to this, but I'm pretty nervous! I've always wanted to go to a meet-up, but I'm socially awkward 3:

Well, go anyway! We're all socially awkward, in our own way...that's why we don't curtsy or drink tea with pinkies out...

;)

Just remember to say "Hi!" to everyone, it's great if you can remember names, but not the end of the world if you can't; and don't pick your nose or scratch your behind or nethers while standing, and you'll be good to go!

Really, the peeps you'll meet are good people!
