This whole lying thing is the main reason why I'm not so stressed out about passing, at least in this beginning stage. And this is because I want to make friends, good friends from the start of college. So, I want to be as honest as possible. And also because I'm pretty sure they'd figure me out anyway.

In the long run, lying is sometimes inevitable, especially in life-threatening situations. Apart from that, I try to be as honest as I can. I rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not. After all, staying in the closet is lie in of itself.

If asked directly I will not lie, otherwise I 'lie by omission' - it's a girl thing, don't be fooled.
It is one of THE great female defences, to lie - and NOT ONLY by omission!

The interesting thing seems, even the bible is jolly quite on the subject other then: Do not give false testimony - ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBOUR -.
I speak under correction, but lying about ourselves seems not any major issue.
An acceptable sort of 'self-defence'? ...  I think so.

I find that being 'an 'out Lesbian' tends to deflect any questions about my gender history.  Anyone who is concerned enough to wonder, seems to assume that is why I may be a bit masculine.
