Raising boys as an MTF

I wanted to get you girls' experiences on raising boys as an MTF. I have this feeling that I would rather just have girls. I know it sounds incredibly sexist and lesbian couples are in no way disadvantaged as regards the raising of boys but I fear that I would not be a great parent to a boy. Of course this could be me just over-thinking something possible in the future and when that time comes and if it is a boy it'll probably be fine.

Did raising boys cause you dysphoria? I imagine that the answer depends on whether you have or haven't (yet) transitioned. 
Just wanted to hear what your thoughts on the matter were.

Do the whole gender-neutral upbringing thing. Overgendering kids doesn't make any sense to me.

I think you're really asking how to raise your kids "as a lesbian," because raising your kids as an MTF doesn't have to be any different than raising your kids as a normal woman... a woman would not normally be expected to be a "father figure" and an MTF wouldn't either if there were a father around to do that instead. Of course, most lesbians can't actually father a child... but you're not forced to go down that route either.

I believe it is a fairly well accepted fact that most fathers do prefer to have a girl while mothers prefer boys. Some may say that she represents his repressed feminine side and the converse for the moms. If I had kids I'd really love to have a girl. I know all too well there is little chance of changing the pressures most guys are under to be idiots. LOL

I have a friend and, her and her wife (lesbian couple) are raising a boy.  Children are children regardless of the gender.

I'm not a lesbian, but thought I'd share anyway...

I have a three year old son, and there is no added dysphoria, or any issues in regards to being trans for that matter, as a result of him being a boy.  I am raising him as a son/boy, though nothing is forced.  For me personally, I would rather have a boy than a girl, just to be honest.

I have a son that is 4 years and a half.. No problems raising him at all, he doesnt even question why I look like a girl at home  (I am not full time yet). It is actually nice to see that he is everything that I was not .

But other children and parents concerns me because I know how close minded alot of people are around here.
