My tharapist always talks to my parents wen I go to an appointment and that's prolly why I don't hav hormones yet cause my mom n dad tell her every little wrong thing I do

Yea I guess but I mean my tharapist always asks to talk to my parents n im to Afraid to say something bout it cause it seems like every little thing I say or do wrong puts me another step away from getting hormones.

Because Angelique is a minor, and I doubt she has been emancipated, doctor-patient confidentiality paradigm doesn't apply in her case when it comes to her parents. The only time parents aren't to be notified is in the case of abortions and sexually transmitted infections, but that is state dependent. The mental health of a minor almost always requires the cooperation of their parents unless the parents are the cause of the distress but that usually requires the help of a court appointed guardian ad litem.

Well, it depends on the State law.  As long as Angelique is not a physical threat the herself or others, she may be entitled confidentiality.

I don't know the Louisiana (where the therapist practices) statutes.
