The way In did it is not recommended but worked for me. I changed my name first, the newspaper did most of the rest. I told one sister after that. Gossip among family, mainly my well meaning and sympathetic daughter, took care of the rest.

try and find someone in your family you feel you can trust like a sibling or aunt or uncle, or even a friend and ask them to help you explain that's what i did and i had a lot of success with this method
