Delayed transition for too long.  After years on antidepressants and booze, plus six therapists dealing with life's issue.  I finally realized and accepted that I am trans.  Though mind you I tried out several other possibilities first :).  Six months on hrt and about 30 hours of electrolysis, with 5 minutes of laser, and a new wig (male pattern baldnesss sucks) and a year and a half sober = a whole new level of feeling good.  Leigh

Hi Leigh,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. Congratulations on coming to terms with who you really are. The first major step into a new and wonderfully exciting life.

There is a mountain of resources and friendships waiting for you here, so get stuck into it and enjoy your stay. Hope to hear more about you in time to come, but in the meantime, keep in touch and let us know how you are coping.

Be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Leigh, it's nice to meet you! I live near Boston. Congratulations on your sobriety, I quit drinking long ago when it started causing problems in my life. Hugs, Devlyn

Hi Leigh, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7329 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me
