Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I posted, but I wanted to ask if anyone can help me with a couple of things, I've been approved for surgery, YAY!, and at this stage from the research I've done and the information and pictures that I have seen of Ceber's work in Australia, compared with Suporn's I'm pretty much decided, that Thailand is the place for me, thing is I've only seen the pictures provided  by Suporn, but I've seen the results of Cebers work provided by patients, does anyone have a source, or would be willing to share with me post op feedback and pictures, doing so would be in the strictest of confidence, and to my personal email only.

Looks like I'm booking for my birthday next year in march, I have the approval, and the $ ready to go, I've got enough for surgery, travel, and costs while i'm away, has anyone had any complications, I have a little extra for complications, but 'm not sure how much to factor in for any complications.
I'ill be going with my partner, and If I can, I'm gonna try to save enough to fly over mum or my sister too, it'd be nice to have them there too. hoping to have about 25k to be safe.

Hope i've covered everything, if anyone has any advice, tips, information please let me know.

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi Sara,

I had SRS with Dr Suporn in December of 2010,  I am very happy with my results.  I've posted before with general
suggestions from my trip.  If you have specific questions please feel free to ask.

I might be willing to send you some pics...I've thought about it before but I always get camera shy.

Best Wishes,
Elaina

Thanks Elaina,

I know what you mean, and I can understand the camera stuff too, don't push yourself, its for you to decide, I have seen some of Suporns more recent work and I am still happy with it, but its a risk to take, if you feel like sharing, send me a PM and I'll respond with my email, but don't stress darling, k?

Take care, and I may be in touch after reading your suggestions.

Hugs,

Sarah

I also went to Thailand for SRS with Dr. Suporn and am also very happy with the result. Everyone tells about the hard recovery only to found out that for myself recovery went really easy and quick. One of my friends on the other hand also went to Suporn for SRS but is 6 months post-op and still can't ride her bike comfortably. She is having a much harder time recovering and even considers revision next year. Also the after-care and everything is great and all the clinic girls are really caring about you and are lovely. :D

You can find more about my whole Chonburi experience by looking through my post history and of course feel free to PM or ask questions which I will be happy to answer for you!

@mementomori, I've seen Dr. Suporn's FFS results in person (another friend of mine went to him for SRS, BA and FFS) and am totally impressed! To me (and everyone else) she looks very feminine and normal and not at all 'plastic' or anything. If you have any questions please let me know :)

Does anyone can share the price for SRS with Dr. Suporn recently?
  •

As far as I am aware it is still 495000 THB. they had scheduled a price increase for 1 January 2012 which has been postponed. i do not know if and when the price increase will be effective but when it does it  will likely be around a 10% increase.

They are planning on making a price increase around January 1st, 2013.

Seems the way things go all over the world - and in Thailand. PIH works the same way...

The assumption seems we ALL get pay rises to accommodate this sort of inflation; or in short: "Take it - or leave it..."

SRS at PIH went from US$10'000 in 2010, up US$ 1'000 for 2011, and again up US$ 1'000 for this year.
Next year? Don't know.

Good investment performance in these low bank interest rate days...?

That is about $ 15,000.00 USA dollars; can some body tell me how much is SRS in America?

Reed the butcher is around that price.

Bowers is somewhere around 19500
McGinn is somewhere around 18000
Brassard is somewhere around 19000

Personally I'm now targeting Brassard.  All the others require that someone be with me and if my wife comes then both kids come too.  By the time you add three extra flights and the stress of the kids fighting Brassard's price that INCLUDES the recovery house looks REALLY tempting.
Blessed Be!

I just visited Dr. McGinn site, and I was struck by two issues, ones she does not mention anyway in her credentials that she 'board certified,"  neither she mentions who many srs she has completed???

Dr. Bowers is a OBGYN board certified. Did not see any reference to published papers, neither to how many srs procedures she has performed.

Dr. McGinn is a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic medicine) board certified by the American Osteopathic Association, among others.

You can see her other certifications, etc. on page 6 of her CV:

As for the number of surgeries she has done, you might have to contact her office directly. I couldn't find anything with a cursory search on Google.

I had surgery with suporn last summer. The recovery for me has been a long one but my results are amazing. Just dont freak out if you have a longer recovery, just stick with it and have faith everything will work out! Im a year post op next week and I JUST NOW am able to dilate once a day. I had to dilate 3 times a day for 6 months then twice a day another 6 months but at the end of the day its worth it. I have no complaints.

I heard that his surgical technique is different from that of US docs; if true do you know what the difference is?

I had srs with Suporn and my understanding is that his technique is not a standard penile inversion. He uses the scrotal skin to line the vaginal wall and foreskin for the labia minora. Beyond that I'm not exactly sure what he does. I actually have pictures from the operation but I'm not sure about what I see in them. They are however highly disturbing and cool at the same time :)
"Of course!"
