Wow, Noey, wow. How true. Some people are just annoying.

About the topic at hand, Olivia: I would not say a thing, and here is why:
If it was a non-intentional slip, they will avoid it in the future.

This is so false, though: failure breeds failure, for the most part. It's just how our brains work.

We used to have a black retriever called Roxy.

Roxy lived to a ripe old age, but then, four or five years ago she died.

Very soon after Roxy died we got a chocolate retriever puppy called Bonnie.

So, four years have gone by. I see Bonnie every single day. And I still call her Roxy ALL the time.

Once a brain gets used to one idea ... or name ... or pronoun ... it's really, really difficult to adjust to another. So some of the time there may be no more significance (to the person speaking) if someone says 'he' when they should say 'she' than there is when I say 'Roxy' when I should say 'Bonnie.'

This.  This is the perfect analogy.  It's only a big deal if we choose to *make* it a big deal.  It's not a case of ignoring the gorilla in the room, it's a case of putting the gorilla there when we worry about it.  I don't know how many times I've mixed up my friends names when we're in conversation, there are six "M" names in my circle of friends, and those names are interchangeable not even gender can stop it, Mark is Marci and Marci is Michael, etc, etc...

It doesn't matter, and because of that we just float on ... it's us who are in control of whether we make it a 'thing' or not.  I for one, plan not to.

(edited because Seph has a gorgeous pic of a dark winged angel)

Seph, I am TOTALLY going to shamelessly steal that image, lol.

Cis-gendered women get misgendered all the time and the natural thing to do is to correct the idiot but in a good natured way. Even the great (LOL) Calpernia Addams says she still gets mis-gendered. It will happen less frequently but unless you are living somewhere where there are hardly any TGs, you will get"clocked" occasionally.  Try to come up with a humorous way to deal with it.

Hi Olivia

Forget about it girl.
Probably the person who had the slip of the tongue is feeling even embarrassed as you, hoping you didn't hear it.
You'll find out that the further you will go in transition, this things will not happen anymore.
Apparently people need some time to use to your present status, give them some time and when it happends again, correct them on a friendly manner with a smile on your mouth.

hugs
