Hi.

I am really starting to get anxiety about the swelling around my chin and jaw. Or rather underneath it. It seems like it gets a little worse each day. The surgery was completed in the evening 13th march.

In the other parts of my face the swelling has gone down. But in my lower face it seems that everything stays. Is this normal? can I do something to get it down a little?

Thanx I am really starting to get panicky here.

Hugs! Don't panic. As long as you're not having an allergic reaction to your medications, the swelling is probably just the normal results of the surgery. Note: I'm not a doctor, and a quick call to yours is probably in order. Hugs, Devlyn

Gravity has caused all the fluids to gravitate to the lowest point in your face. Manual lymphatic drainage is supposed to help with swelling. I had a therapist do this. It was included as part of the cosmetic procedure package. I'm just not sure how much it helped.
