JessieAshley

Hello, my name is Jessie Ashley and I wanted to personally say hello to everyone.  I've been transitioning MTF for about 1.5 years now.  I've been on HRT (estrodial and spiro) for since 5/5/2011, so things are progressing quite nicely.  I'm married to a wonderful woman who has been my soulmate for the last 20 years but she has had to deal with the turmoil of me coming to terms with my inner being.  She and I have been on a very rocky road for about 1.5 years now since my realization that I needed to make changes and be the person I've always needed to be.  She is a hetero female who would prefer to be with a male but I can no longer fulfill that role for her.  I still am only interested in females and would prefer to stay with her since I love her like no other.  We are currently doing well and are redefining what marriage really is for us and learning new ways to battle the challenges we both face and create new memories as we go along.  I've been a full time girl since August of last year and loving it.  I was fortunate to be able to transition on the job with the help of employer, Cox Communications who has been absolutely amazing throughout this process.  Unfortunately, Cox does not offer any health benefits to take care of it's transgender/transsexual employees but I do believe that there is hope.  I'm currently saving up for FFS / GRS / BA / and laser hair removal for my body.    I've already had about 12 laser treatments on my face and about 9 or 10 electrolysis treatments and still battling my facial hair but getting better.  I've had 6 treatments of Laser Hair Removal on my tummy and have had amazing results.  I've lost about 60 lbs since coming out to friends and family and am now down to about a size 8 jeans and medium top.   I have a wardrobe to die for and a shoe collection to support it!!  LOL    I am currently saving for my first round of surgeries... FFS which will include forehead reconstruction, brow lift, corrugator muscle cut, jaw / chin reconstruction / lip lift / lip augmentation / cheek implants.  After tons and tons and TONS of research, I've finally decided to go with Femilife in Peru for my FFS.  I should be able to send them the deposit by the end of this month and will be booking my FFS for early next year.  Very excited.  Next step will be GRS, once I save $$$ up again or when Cox adopts transgender health care.   I'm so much happier with myself these days and look forward to the rest of my journey.  I can be a very long road, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  :)  <3

The Aussies are about to log in.  It's just after 5:00 p.m. in Sydney.

They are a nice bunch, when they are not rip roaring drunk.  >:-)

Hi JessieAshley,

Yes the first of the Aussies has arrived to save you from the culturally ignorant Californians.

Welcome it certainly sounds that you have a plan. I hope everything works out between you and your wife. I know it can be very difficult for everyone concerned.

Hugs and Welcome

Hi Jessie, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7419 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

Hi Jessie,
Another warm Aussie welcome to Susan's family. and as Jamie D mentioned it is after 5:00pm and I'm not roaring drunk, yet. Not that it would take much these days, something like removing the cork would be enough to out me under the table. (Not a pretty sight you'd want to see in any case  :embarrassed:  )

I'm pleased your programme is going so well for you. I'll send all my positive energies your way and hope they are fruitful in finding a satisfactory compromise between you both. Maybe your wife could be interesting in browsing the Significant Others section here, in hope she can find some respite in her obvious dilemma. I know my wife is still struggling. For what I've had 50 odd years to work through she's had just over 50 odd days to get her head around. It has to be so much harder for SO's. I would think.

I hope your plans continue to develop in the direction of your expectations. having a plan ensures that. Well I hope to hear more about you both in time to come. Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping, both good and bad. so in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
