Coming out to relatives, but not immediate family

Was considering coming out to a couple of my cousins who are gay.  Obviously my wife knows whats going on up to a point, but my sons only know that I'm seeing some doctors a lot.  Is it a good idea to have a couple more distant family members available for my older sisters and brothers to talk to when I come out to them?  My cousins are well respected in the family and in their churches, so I thought it might help to talk to them first. But, this is my personal responsibility and it just creeps me out a bit asking my cousins to pitch in if needed. 

Any comment?

I think it is a good idea to have people set up to talk with your family. Sometimes they have questions or concerns that they may not feel comfortable talking to you about. I would not feel bad about asking for help. Your cousins probably will not mind as long as you are not asking them to come out for you.

I personally think that's a wonderful option.  I think this is is a great way to share who you truly are, and I can tell you that chances are your gay cousins may have talked about you in the past.  This is exactly what I did, close friends, friends, cousins and they told their parents and then I spoke to my mum 🙂
