Weird things but they can be helpful

I thought the salad plate thing was weird at the time, but I found it does help.  The other thing that helped me was that once I felt full is that I either left the table or at a minimum rinsed my plate off and put it in the sink/dishwasher.  I found that if I continued to sit there and "be social" that I would continue to eat even though I really wasn't hungry.
