Spotting after 1+ year on T?

So yeah.... I've noticed some spotting the last couple days and I've had some cramping in that area. I've been on T for 15 months and since then this has never happened. Feeling pretty crappy and uncomfortable about it. Luckily it's just a little bit but it's confusing. I've had my T levels checked consistently and it was high recently so my doc lowered my dose last month but not by much. Just enough to bring me back down to the 'normal range'. I'm wanting to wait until it's over before calling him so I can let him know how long it lasted and if there's any other changes with it.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Wow, still getting it monthly after 3 years? Dang that must be tough. With my situation it just feels so weird since I haven't had any trace of it since I started T... just wondering why now. Haven't talked to my doc yet, planning to wait it out and give him a call next week.

I know of a guy on youtube who has been on T for 3 years & still has his monthly P.  Neither he nor his doc seem concerned...
I think it's sort of weird for him not be concerned about it, but almost unprofessional for his doctor have no concerns. Has his doctor worked with transitioning HRT paitents before?
Meow.

Just something that happened to me that's related: do you ever...penetrate? Some people get similar feelings after penetration (cramping/pain/soreness/bleeding) which can last a week. If it's not then I had a nightmare where I got a period.

I take it you mean if I'm ever penetrated... that's a big no, heh. It's definitely the monthly cycle type cramps and spotting, it had been so long but I knew as soon as it started. Back in the day it was never this light though, yesterday and this morning it was just enough that I know it's there and tonight there's nothing.

Wait what happened? You got a nightmare where you got a period?

Yep. Pretty much.

That's doesn't seem normal to me, but then again everyone's bodies are different.  I'd still bring it up with your doctor.  Are you looking to have a hysterectomy done at all or no?  I couldn't deal with the monthly visitor again personally.

The same thing happened to me after more than a year on T. My endocrinologist felt my T level was too high, so she reduced the dose and there was some spotting pretty soon afterwards. I already told my GP and I will tell my endo when I see her on the 17th, but I don't think it's cause for concern unless it happens again. Definitely report it to your doctor, though.

I've never gotten my T levels checked but now I want to. Gosh. But yes I have heard of this happening. So much variation between tmen.

I am 13 months on t...haven't had anything since my first injection until my doc recently lowered it to get "back within the normal range". The same week of the lower dose...well...there it was. Have been spotting ever since. My doc says it is just something that happens. I am looking into a new endo....

Not much help, I know...but yeah....you are def not the only one.

SUCKS.

It is interesting how you guys have this issue after having a lower dose. Maybe it is something to do wih your body having adapted to that "high" level of T as an adequate amount. Some cis guys have a higher than average level of T so I am confused as to why the doctor wouldn't have you switch back to the higher dose if you were having spotting issues. I hope you guys are able to find a solution.

Eventually I'll have a hysterectomy but it's a few years off at least. I'm dealing with it but it really sucks, not gonna lie  :-\ hopefully we can get this resolved because there's no way I can handle this on a regular basis.

Oh man, that is awful. How long has it been now like this? Are your levels in the "normal range" now? And yeah that's bs that it's "just something that happens". There's obviously something that needs to be addressed, it's not normal once you've been on T this long and all of a sudden it comes back. I feel your pain dude. At any rate, thanks for chiming in Jesse... it really helps. Hang in there.

Hmm yeah, you might be onto something... I'm gonna ask about this when I talk to my doc. Yeah with Jesse I don't understand why his doc hasn't raised his dose, I guess maybe they don't realize why it's so problematic for us to have the monthly visitor. Given that this is the first time it's happened on my end hopefully he'll be willing to adjust it.

I know we're not really supposed to talk about dosages here, hope I'm within the boundaries here -- I'm sure the mods will let me know :D

I think the worst thing that could happen after being on T for a time and not having a monthly flow, would be for the blood and monthly pain to start again.  You would be thinking and feeling as a true guy and then have these problems start up again.  I am about to start T and want so much to have my monthly stop forever.  I am beginning to think that I may want to have a total hyster first so I am sure that I will never have a pain and flow come out of me again. Thanks for starting this thread so I could comment.
