Shana

Introduction Time~ XD;

Hello all~ I'm Shana, or rather...I wish to be known as Shana in the future. I'm 18 and am MtF trans. Currently, I'm pre-op everything and am in the process of looking for an affordable gender therapist so I can get HRT started as soon as possible. I live in California with my family(only my mom knows about me though :x), although, I'm currently working out a plan to move in with a trans friend in a few months so I can start my life anew there.

I'm huge on gaming and watch anime quite a bit. I also love to cook, draw(I'm not so good at it, need a lot more practice x_x; ), admire others artistic talent, and love spending hours on things that challenge the mind, be it puzzles or putting together designs for various things that looks great together. My music interests are all over the place, but I tend to listen to Japanese and Korean bands more often than not as I feel so much more emotion from their music and that is one thing I really love <3.

Nice to meet you all and I hope we get to know each other well x3

Hi Shana, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7477  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

And hello and welcome from the Aussie girls too.  It's nice in here.
I have been trying to find some good J-rock bands.  Any suggestions?

Karen.

Hi Shana,

And still the Aussie girls league continues. Lucky you had a warm welcome from Kelly, I can only offer you a cold, but big welcome to Susan's family from frozen Sydney. Any colder and you'll be able to skate Sydney Harbour.   :laugh:

Great you have Mum on your side. Treat her well and she'll be your greatest Allie when it comes time to 'tell all.' Hope to hear more from you in time to come, in the meantime keep in touch and lets us know how you are coping.

Be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

@Karen I'd be better off naming songs than bands XD; I also listen to a TON of vocaloid @_@ <3 I so love Cul and SeeU <3. As I started earlier my tastes are all over the place, so here are a few songs I've come to love xD;

Janne Da Arc - Wild Fang
Day After Tomorrow - Starry Heavens
L'Arc~en~Ciel - Ready Steady Go
Yui Makino - Amrita
Galileo Galilei - Aoi Shiori (this song is very hard to find on it's own :x I highly recommend watching Anohana too <3)
I listen to many many more XD; if you're interested in vocaloid, I can go through all my music and recomend some as well XD;

@Catherine Yes, I'm very lucky to have her on my side. It wasn't easy getting her there though :x as she thought it was all just a phase for a long while. I finally had the courage to stand my ground and tell her it wasn't xD;

@Shana

Hi! I'm new here too :)

It looks like you're really on the right track, at only 18.

Have you considered going to college?
It could be a very supportive environment to transition in.
Personally, I wish I'd gone to art school, and explored my gender identity in a safe environment where I'd have had an existing community.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Shana,

Yet another Aussie.

Welcome and join in the fun and games. And of course the serious side when we need that as well.

But we are all friends and sisters and brothers. And that helps a lot. We all know what it means so we relate very well

Hugs

Cindy

Hello~ :D

Wow, can you like read my mind or something? o_o

I'm moving out in 3months to live with a couple of friends, one who happened to be 10years into her own transition. I'm gonna be going to college there to study graphic design for gaming and various other things :D. I figured the brand new environment would be beneficiary since most won't know me/care about it ;D. I'll be getting a lot of help and support from my friends as well, I'm so excited to get started x3 butbut...3months away DX

Thank you all for giving me such a great warm welcoming x3
