Not in order...
1. Die Hard (Best Christmas movie ever)
2. Silence of the Lambs (The escape scene... gives me chills every time)
3. Seven (Kevin Spacey delivered a tour de force performance that turned out didn't involve all that much acting to be so creepy)
4. The Usual Suspects (Oh hey look, it's Kevin Spacey playing himself again)
5. Event Horizon (Even if Paul WS Andersion is a hack who ruined Resident Evil)
6. There's Something About Mary (Greatest "modern" style comedy)
7. Evil Dead 2 (Bruce Campbell is the greatest man to ever live, and I will hear no dissent on this topic)
8. Captain America Winter Soldier (Greatly enjoy all the Marvel movies, but this is just an all around damn good movie)
9. Tommy Boy (I loved Chris Farley so much)
10. Jurassic Park (I still get a warm fuzzy feeling hearing the theme song)
Honorable mention for "best made" movie of all time even if not one I can watch repeatedly because it's so very, very, very long: Seven Samurai. Final battle in the rain in that movie... Jesus, Kurosawa was amazing.
Regarding Event Horizon, while it has developed a bit of a cult following, it doesn't often make top 10 lists. However, I saw it in a really, really good theater with the sound system blasting. It was amazing and one of the only horror movies ever to make me actually jump. I saw it again in a lesser theater, and the effect was paltry in comparison, but I'll never forget that first experience.
