so yesterday i had my first electrolysis consultation, it was hampered by the fact that i was called into work but i got there oh yes. and it all went rather smoothly, even when i told her what i wanted done i expected to just see a flicker of "oh" in her eyes but she acted as if it wasnt normal for me to have hair on my face. she  talked to me about it and how lucky i was to have very light growth yet i still would be with her for many many years (oh i know..)

however im taking an antibiotic which makes me a bit photo senstive (burn easier) so today i go in for a patch test to amke sure i dont come out in huge rashes, and whats more the patch test is free just like the consultation!

tomorrow im going for another free consultation with the skin insititute to see if they have a better deal (something faster/ cheaper) so y eah, today i find out how horrifyingly painful it actually is

More progress, ha, ha.  You are definitely on your way.

No matter how you cut it (excuse the pun) electro is a long and sometimes painful process.  I've been at it for a year now and although the results are great, I dread each session.  It hurts, but the hair removal is permanent.

There are several girls here who have had it done or like me in the process of, and I'm sure that they will share their experiences.  For myself I thought I had a high tolerance for pain as I have a full body tattoo, but there are times when I get a little tear in my eye towards the end of a session.  Aaaaaaaaah, maybe I'm just a woos.

Chat later,

Steph

well i didnt go i ran away screaming into the night even though it was 2pm...

no i went, nervous as hells sauna room, but i was greated there by their sugery kindness with that hint of "hes a special case" about it. it didnt hurt as much as i thought it would, but it was odd, they layed me down and gave me this grip to hold onto... i thought it was just like a biting a belt thing but no it was to help the current according to her... is that normal? i never heard that bit mentioned, and it felt like tiny suns igniting inside my face

but at the end of the day im 11 hairs less hairy and there seemed to be no complications so they will be calling me tomorrow to arrange some proper appiontments.. of course im not certain i will go with them, but i feel sort of pressured to go with them because they are so nice, its like when your in a second hand book store alone and the assitant sits there and glowers at you, you fill compeled to buy something, well i guess ill make the appiontment and if the skin institute has a better deal ill just cancel

nice to know some of the hair wont grow back now.. its a start

Hello Harbour.  hang in there.  You know your never going to feel good as long as you have facial hair.  There are just to many times when you don't have time or opportunity to shave and having a scratchy face really detracts from the experience.  If it hurts, it hurts, but it will be over at the end of the session and there will be that much less to affect your feelings about yourself.

It's like buying a car or a house, yes, it hurts each time you have to make the payment, but if you don't do it, you never own it.  It's just something that has to be done so don't even think in terms of maybe, rather as a given.

Don't expect to see significant results until you have perhaps 30 hours or so into it.  toward the end, it seems to go quicker.  The skin will be smoother and softer.  You will feel better and it will all have been worth it.  Things that are important generally don't come easy, just do what has to be done and reap the rewards.
