Hey all,

I'm a femme-presenting (I love glitter, for real), female-assigned person and I've recently come to the conclusion that I'm genderfluid/genderqueer. My inner gender identity shifts a lot - at one point, as a young teen, I identified on the androgynous-male side of things, and I probably spend way more time thinking about what my gender is than most cis people do. I'm also trying to dress more androgynous sometimes, but sometimes I love wearing dresses and such too. Although I'm mostly happy with my body, I experience minor discomfort/weirdness about it sometimes - specifically, I wish my genitals were configured a little bit differently, although I'm mostly happy with what I have. I've always felt a bit weird about my gender identity because I pass as a cis woman, am generally okay with "she" pronouns (feel free to call me "they" around here if you want to, though, I'd kind of like to try neutral pronouns on). And I know I have a lot of privilege. Also I haven't met too many femme genderqueers like me. So I'm part introducing myself and part saying "hey, am I the only one?"

Hello there Logan-Rose!  A warm southern California welcome to you.

For our new members, please read:

If you tell me which of the gender neutral pronouns you prefer (ze, zie, hir, and so on), I will be glad to put them into your Forum Profile so other users can see them.  Just reply to this post.  You can find list here in the "Unicorn Forest" which is the place where we non-binaries tend to congregate.  Of course, the site is yours to roam.

After you get to 15 posts, new aspects of the site will open to you.

I am so glad you joined, and no, you are not alone in your gender identity and presentation.   :o

Hi, I'm FAAB and some sort of femme. Welcome!
Of our desires some are natural and necessary, others are natural but not necessary; and others are neither natural nor necessary, but are due to groundless opinion.  Epicurus

i'm a probably not too female "faab" as they call it. my gender identity switches often enough that i can't decide what i really am, but i still feel comfortable enough in my own skin that i'm not in a rush to try and modify anything too much (i'd love to if i could though). i love glitter once in a while, but usually prefer to wear male clothing to hide my overly feminine curves from my own conscious.

anyway, welcome. i hope the stay will be useful for you.

Hi Logan-Rose, I'm a non-binary FAAB person who likes to present as femme frequently too. I have a pretty solid masculine identity and related body dysphoria, which doesn't seem to be as much the case for you. But, I really enjoy dressing in "drag" as long as I feel secure in my own identity--people on the street may misgender me as a cis woman, especially since I'm not on T, but I've gotten to the point where that matters less to me than feeling fabulous. I'm working towards being out to all my friends (I'm already out to my family, partner and some close friends), which I think is the ideal situation for me. I also currently use "she" as a pronoun, but I'm thinking of changing that.
