http://www.outandaboutnewspaper.com/article/5501#.UBDob7RDz94TranSquat is a gender neutral bathroom finder for iPhone users that locates bathrooms that are gender free relative to the users current location. It uses the phone's current GPS location to search, add and share nearby safe locations with other users.
TranSquat was written by and for the trans community and is powered by data from safe2pee - a nationwide directory of gender neutral bathrooms. There are currently close to 4,000 locations across the United States, Canada and the U.K. with more locations being added everyday.

Local app developer Billy Bolt has built a iPhone application on top of the crowdsourced Safe2Pee, called TranSquat. This $2.99 app directs trans folks, or anyone looking for a safe, discreet and comfortable restroom, to the nearest location as well as having a space for you to recommend more that you have found....
Initially Bolt decided to build TransSquat in an effort to fund his own top surgery... he says it's satisfying simply to have made a mobile product aimed at the trans community:
"I wanted to write an app for the trans community, but what kind? When I learned about Safe2Pee having an existing database but no native mobile app, it seemed like a perfect fit...One would most likely be looking for a bathroom while out and about. So, why not use the phone's location services to narrow down the bathrooms in the end-user's closest proximity?"
