I always have a curious reaction to this old video. For some reason it makes me feel especially female. I identify with the female character in the video. Even makes me drop a few tears, which is unusual for me given my completely male endocrines.

Anybody else have videos that elicit a gender reaction?
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I can't really say that there is a gender reaction. I left the male part of my life in '97. Do cis women feel a gender reaction? What I do feel is insane amounts of nostalgia. OMG, Morten Harket has such a baby face. Nice bit of rotoscoping. Coincidentally, whilst I was watching this video,  a talk radio station I was listening to was slating the new romantics and guys with eyeliner.

This is the girl today:

Thanks for the update, Felicita. I'm always fascinated by seeing how people age.

Wouldn't think so. I'll ask my wife. I would imagine it would be the sort of thing that genderfluids and bigender folk would experience more of. I'm really just starting to sort it all out so I'm paying close attention.

Love men in it too.

Oh, this song really confused me when I was younger.
Probably the first video that I ever watched where I wanted to be her.

"What God doesn't give to you, you've got to go and get for yourself."

"The worst thing one can do is not to try, to be aware of what one wants and not give in to it, to spend years in silent hurt wondering if something could have materialized - and never knowing" - David Viscott
