If I could skip this I would, but I reckon I should go about things properly...

I'm not terribly sure what to say - I'm truly going through something of a "discovery phase", I s'pose... a little reconnaissance...

While I have been aware since a very young age of my inner gender identification (female... and surely there's a tongue-twister that the preceding would lend itself to...), I have only just recently come to the determination that I am not going to suppress it any longer (to the extent that my current circumstances allow).

I have a wonderful woman who is very accepting of me - for which I cannot enough express my gratification, and we have a good love and pleasant life together.

Where does all this go? I don't know.

In a perfect world I would take this body back to customer service, and get one that fits right... but for now I'll just play the best hand I can with the cards I'm dealt.

[My apologies if that all came out a bit sterile... I really have to detach myself, sometimes, when discussing myself...]

Thanks!

Oh! Coupla questions: Will I always have to enter the captha, and do math problems, when making a post... or is that just a newbie thing? And.... how can I set the forum clock to my local time? I have looked about a bit, but can't find the mechanism for doing so... thanks again!
I ain't scared... I just don't want to mess up my hair.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi Sadie May ,
A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.
There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in and start talking.
Congratulations for making that very big decision; to acknowledge who you really are. That's probably the hardest thing to do. It's all downhill from here on in.
Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Heya,

Thats cool you have a supportive partner! Having someone close to you and who you can share your experiences with is immensely beneficial and helpful.

You stop having to enter the captcha after 15 posts (if I recall correctly) and to change the time, go to the Profile tab and it should be under Look and Layout of the Modify Profile bit.  :)

Thanks y'all!

Hi Catherine, Hope you're surviving that Aussie winter! My google travels have taken me to Australia twice in the last week: once on water conservation, and again on some politician (who's name doesn't readily come to mind, but who entered my radar due to some witty poster about his worst fear being gays on boats - lol).

Yeah Bexi - My lady is a true blessing!

Hi Sadie,

Welcome to our little family. Over 7701 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me
