Legend of Dragoon. I'm lame and play old RPGs. I love it but I forgot how unforgiving it is. Kids today wouldn't be able to play it without throwing it out the window. I will beat you, stupid boss that attacks 6 times for every two attacks I get because your AI is stupid and got lucky.

But, before then, I am off to spend some time with Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate.

Cave Story + for Steam (also available in 3ds and maybe Wii).

Just a few weeks ago, I found my old Doukutsu Monogatari .exe file and tried playing 'Last Cave' to see how well my platforming skills held up. However, the gamesave I had was the one where I didn't trade for Curly's gun. It wasn't all that easy to just pick up and kick ass. The music was fun to listen to though.

When I heard they would make a version for the Wii (way back whenever), I was super pumped and pleaded with my Wii owning friend to download it. I got to play it, but I just couldn't enjoy the 'updated' graphics and the new version of the songs. I have a passion for 8 bit and 16 bit games though.

Today I played this weird game called Super Mario Brothers. It is for a system called the Nintendo. Let it be known that I found this game to be absolutely terrible. For starters it involves a tripped out guy in red overalls eating mushrooms and spitting fire at terribly animated creatures. I can not tell what these creatures were, I saw the turtles but they again looked terrible. This is 2012 and they are still allowing games like this to be made? I trucked on, I soon found myself coming up on a gap in the game. Surely I could have grappled across it or used a portal to form another portal on the otherside but no. This fat plumber who is easily over 250 pounds manages to jump clear across a hole that was over 4 times wider than him. No this was not the height of ridiculousness, no I soon found that at the end of the level you yanked a flag down the pole. Aside from being a silly thing unto itself it was blatantly anti American. It was teaching kids that jumping and kicking your enemies was the way to go and that yanking flags down poles was noble.

I found myself reaching the weirdness, I dropped down the hole and this conjoined creature was coming at me. I jumped on one and he smooshed but the other stilled continued after me. I hid on top of the glowing blocks. Clearly he was sharing a brain with his now dead brother because he just continued on like a dope. On top of this game being terribly animated, promoting violence against people and turtles, encouraging drug use and tearing up flags it was now encouraging me to beat up the handicapped. I had to continue to see what other horrors this game had to show.

I made my way to the big castle and found that it was also cliched. there was lava here and yep you guessed it, lava balls spitting out of the fire. Clearly this game was hackneyed and ripped off other better games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Halo. I crossed bridges, jumped impossible gaps only to find that I had broken into the home of a lizard man. Clearly he was infuriated with me and was spitting fire at me. Understandably so, I had stolen his "shrooms" and money. "This game is now encouraging breaking and entering...."I thought. I jumped over him to avoid him, maybe give him back his druggery and money that I had looted from his castle only to find that I landed on a axe that had killed him. This game is pure evil. I cannot even imagine what awaits next. I killed a lizard man for protecting his home. How sick is this game?

Then it happened, he had apparently kidnapped a child and stuffed him in a bag for some nefarious deed. Perhaps this game wasn't so bad, I just saved a child wearing a odd hat from a deviant lizard man. I felt better, then the child told me the princess was in another castle. Are you telling me that I must break more laws? Are there more lizard people out there kidnapping children? I had to find out, I continued on, wondering who this princess was, why was I saving her? Didn't she have a knight? Was I the knight? There was hardly a story to this game. Finally I burgled all the castles and defeated all the deviant lizards and saved the princess. I had beaten a very odd game.

So in short, I will give Super mario Brothers a 8/10, despite it teaching bad things to children, it let me beat up evil lizards who kidnapped children. You cannot put a price on that.

New soundrack sucks, but remastered is totally worth it. And after having to restart because of the booster 0.8, I discovered about the magine gun and the spur...

Dragon's Dogma on the 360 is taking over my life, I know every inch of Gransys now & still can't get enough of this game.
I can't risk getting the DLC because I will never eat or sleep again!

I am no longer Jayne, I am the Dragonforged Arisen, protector of the realm

Sonic Adventure 2 HD. Sooner or later I'm going to set the 360 on fire, if it doesn't do it by itself.

I've got a friend who is into double figures on his 360, many have had the red ring of death (sounds painful)  just be patient & your 360 will probably burst into flames on its own.

I love the 360 more than my PS3 but I wish they'd make them a bit more reliable

Jasper motherboard. I waited until the first "safe" 360 revision came out to buy it. In fact, my launch 60 GB backwards compatible PS3 has more chances of failing now.

But I hate that game so much. I told me that maybe I was to harsh with it during the Dreamcast era, but no, it is even worse. Specially the final acts, since it seems like you need to play 5-6 stages in a row without saving. I discovered it when I went back to the menu, exhausted after two hours. Baaaaadly bad.

Lets see....Mainly WoW at this point with some others like Dissidia 012 ((Tifa v.s ultimecia can go *censored*)) and DW7.

*edit* Silly me forgot the thoughts.

WoW's still same old same old really. Though I feel lvling's a LOT faster.

Dissidia is still fun when the enemy is NOT a pain *glares at Sir 'LOOK AT ME I KNOW HOW TO DODGE EVERY ATTACK YOU MAKE!' exdeath*

As for DW7...I think it's the best one to come out so far. Covering battles we usually don't see. Putting us in control of who had the most impact and even changing it up when the focus needed to. Like in one stage I was Zhou Yu to half of it then once I got the stragity going I got put in control of Sun Ce which was just awesome! I can't wait for the empires ver to come out!

Crusader Kings 2, because I just love trying to conquer Europe. The Duke of Poitou is giving me trouble though, and I can't afford any assassins! Argh!

Video game discussion YESSSS. I've just finished playing Dishonored recently, its freakin' amazing. The plot might not be as good as it could be, but the game play is so much fun! On the go I've been playing Pokemon White 2, and that's probably one of the best pokemon games ever. Its got a lot of neat features, and all the pokemon from the old gens mixed in with the new one, so you can play with your favorites early on.

I hate the controls so much that I'm thinking about trading it in.
