;D I was not erven wearing anything but foundation and a red shirt which is not all that feminine (was mostly dressed in guy mode) and yet I guess eithier because of the softness of my face and voice or the fact that this lady was wearing glasses, allowed me to be called mam' for the 1st time ever in my life...and wow did it feel good and was totally unexpected  since I have not even taken hormones yet and I was really suprised LOL

Yay :) I remember the first time I was maamd... I was getting some air freshener for my car and I didn't even have a close shave! Plus I was coming off a cold so my voice was even deeper than normal. IDK what possessed her to see me as a female but she did and I was so excited! lol!

But... it was the last time I got maam'd for a week or 2.  :(
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

I would beg to differ, having experienced my early transition working as a sales rep in one of the most culturally diverse areas in the world: San Francisco. For Caucasian transitioning women at least, I would propose that "when you don't get read by African-American kids (typically five-six years old) then you know it is working."  In retrospect, I do not know how I survived those days--knowing that I was earning the money to get FFS helped--that...and drinking a lot.

I used to as well. I think I looked far more female back then than I do now. If I had any heavy boxes to carry guys would offer to carry them for me. I remember breaking down in the van and a woman passing said 'do you need to call your husband'? This was before transition and before HRT and I was just used to wear jeans and a T shirt and a levi jacket! So I thought transition would be a breeze and it's gonna work well for me but after starting hormones I was surprised how little effect HRT had on me. So I was a little disappointed with all the claims about the effectiveness of HRT.
