Okay, so as most of you know I am very young completely post op ffs and srs. I've been srs post op about six months now, and I cant help but feel that my beautiful, thick hair is thinning. I constantly lose hair in the shower, more than the average person I am sure, and now my partings are starting to seem whiter and whiter. Its really freaking me the hell out I am way too young and too sexy to have thin hair! :-(

So I am thinking of starting spiro, propecia, and rogaine all at once to see if it helps. Along with skin, hair and nail vitamins.

Any advice? Thanks!!

Get your levels check. It could just be in your heard since, well, you now lack testosterone producing organs?

No, everybody produces testosterone in the adrenal glands in small amounts along with the other hormones.  Get your levels checked.  You'll still need to be on HRT anyway for the rest of your life, decreasing after 60 or earlier if your family has history of breast cancer.  With or without the spiro depends on your T levels.  One of my sisters shave because of the menopause lowered her estrogen enough, allowing her facial hair to grow (hirsutism) due to the T her adreanal glands put out.

Seems to me to be divine justice for been so young, and beautiful, and post SRS, and post FFS, obviously rich, and insensitive.

Do not take personally little sis, I am just so jealous of your youth, beauty, money, FFS, and SRS

Lmao. You are very beautiful. At least you're self-aware

I would totally be jealous, if we were even competing in the same gender ^-^.

But seriously, sucks about your hair. But my mom and aunt lose some hair in the drain too. Maybe it's just more noticeable to you now?

I understand and I had mine at 45 and 2 mths lata my hair started coming out.  My endo said it could be hormone imbalance now OR he said that anaesthesia makes a lot of PEOPLES hair thin.  So i was already on estrogen and then he put me on progesterone also and the hair falling STOPPED.  I wore a wig for 2 yrs and my hair GREW GREW GREW, and i just now started wearing my hair again.  It isnt THICKER than it was prior to surgery, but it is back where it started.

ew@ the comments about her sassy cute little joke. Dont be mad at her for being a fetus when she got her op. anyway, im young too and after my surgery I had a bald spot on the back side of my head and my hair thinned to about half. It all grew back it was just the surgery was super hard on my body. or the anaesthesia I dont know but Thank God my hair was extremly thick before so it still looked normal. I say take the hair skin and nail vitamins look into trying biosil! and get your hormone levels checked. My hair is all growing back to normal.

I don't have bald spots but my hair shaft diameter is way too thin since having SRS about eight years ago.  Why on earth has my hair shaft diameter become so tiny thin?  What can I do to change it?  I need to fix this.  My hair is like cotton candy thin.

My hair has always had a fine shaft diameter. I'd love to thicken my hair. Worrying, though, over the last couple of months I'm convinced my already fine hair has thinned further. I also started intense workouts 3-4 times a week just before. I'm wondering if there's a connection. Can exercise increase androgen levels? I'm finding out soon as I had my blood taken yesterday and the results should be with me next week. I'm loath to start start something like minoxidil because of the side-effects and once you're on it you have to keep on using it.

There can be residual adrenal production of T. Don't need spiro, but ask about finesteride. That'll do it. If you get generic finesteride tabs, they work out to be massively cheaper than the tablets made for hair loss.... my gp turned me on to this fyi, use a pill splitter to get them into quarters, and youl'l be fine. :)
Blessings,
