Would any of be more likely to take a snowboard lesson if your instructor was trans? Would it alleviate some of your anxiety? I teach and coach snowboarding from beginner all the way trough  to the 22' super pipe, and I have yet to meet any other trans folks on the slopes so I was just wondering....

When I first started to snowboard what I honestly wanted was an instructor who could get me down the hill.  I took about 3 or 4 lessons with different people out west on a vacation until I just decided to just teach myself and off I went.

Now, haven't been out for a ride for about 10 years now for many reasons.  If I were to take a lesson again to try and refresh my memory on how to get down a hill, sure, why not.  Although, I think I would probably have more transgender related questions than coaching on how to link turns without eating pine cones.

I have never been to the mountains out east, but if I am ever in the neighborhood, I will schedule a lesson.

P.S.  I miss your old profile pick, I though it was quite fetching.

I couldn't tell you. I am self taught in 5 hours. At the end of the season I was being bombarded by sponsors.

It would be cool.

Shame I Ski. Going for a couple of days skiing this weekend at Perisher off the ridge ad towers.
Should be fun to get away from work for a week or so.
Would be cool to have a cousin to ski with as I normaly have to ski solo.
Got some great carve turns down the ridge and interceptor last time i went.
So long and thanks for all the fish

I would say that it wouldn't make much of a difference, the same as if my instructor was male, female, white, black, big, small, young, old - as long as they could teach me how to snowboard!  :)

Im a ski-bunny myself, so probably don't have enough recklessness or ego to snowboard hehehe  ;)
