1. Can hormone therapy for a MTF actually cause masculinazation. Like if the body responds to the extra estrogen by coverting it into testosterone?

2. If taking pills, is sublingual recommended? Or is it best to just swallow them down?

3. Is there a time of day that is more effective to take your pills? Or is it as long as you do it regularly at a fixed time that matters?

4. Can any foods interfere with the effect of the hormones? Like realisticly? Cause I told my doctor that I had been drinking spearmint thinking it would lower T levels, and she laughed. Said no food or herb can actually do much.

5. Is eating healthy fats advisable to try to add female curves? Or is it best to keep with your regular diet?

1. There is no mechanism in the body that converts E to T. However, different glands in the body may see the increase in estrogen, or lack of testosterone, in the blood as a signal that more T is needed. It will then pump out more testosterone.

2. From what I've read, sublingual administration gives you a high blood level but it diminishes rapidly. Taking it orally is gives more stable of a level. I take it sublingually.

3. Since testosterone in genetic males is normally higher right after waking up (reason for morning erections), I would think it's better to take it when you wake up. I take my doses 12 hours apart, so I end up taking them around 10am and 10pm.

4. I've read that phytoestrogenic foods (such as soy) actually compete with the estrogen you'll be taking, so it's best to NOT consume phytoestrogens.

5. I'm sure healthy is always better.. however I eat almost nothing but protein and trashy food and ... quite honestly, I think I've progressed pretty well!
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

oK...

#1 ....  That's a "though" question that should be asked to an "Endo".

#2 .... Yes there is a difference! Direct consumption through your system is "Harder" on your liver! A lot harder! Sublingualy, diverts the Estrogen from  a direct pass through the liver, which is better than the Estrogen going directly through the liver! As in you could "burn out" your liver(Which would preclude you from further HRT) its muche "BETTER" to due it right! IE, get your Estrogen the safest way(Its always hard on your body).

The last two are for an ENDO! They are the only ones who can "know" what the interactions of minor/major bodily systems will cause/react.

Best..

Dani

Both 3 & 4 are questions for an Endo! They know the specifics othe the estro

Hi, I'm new at this whole forum thing and I didn't know where else to ask or post this, but I was just wondering if anyone's ever taken testosterone pills? We don't do T where I live.. the closest I can get right now is through some T pills and I've started on "Novatest" .. a friend suggested to start off with these and I've been doing some physical training as well so it helped.. I've been taking it for a few days now.. was just curious if there would be any changes within my body on these pills?

Hi James,

In answer to your last question, the only person who could answer that would a Doctor or Endocrinologist, after taking appropriate blood samples.

Just be aware that self medication or taking something specified by a non medical practitioner is very dangerous. Everybody is different. How you assimilate and express particular drugs may be completely different to the fellow standing next to you.

Body modification drugs, such as T and E can be lethal, even in small dosages. They can cause major damage to vital organs such as liver/kidneys/heart.

If you want to experiment, please ensure you consult an experience medical professional.

Hope what you've taken so far has not caused any damage.

Be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

I have never heard of that product, so I looked up a product review

Frankly, these sorts of supplements and boosters are not worth the money you spend on them, and are often outright frauds.

And they are not "testosterone pills."
