So I've actually been lurking around here for much longer than I'd care to admit, but I finally decided to give in and join. I was a little hesitant to sign up because I've had unpleasant experiences with forum-style groups in the past for different reasons. I'm just hoping this place will work out better. I'm addicted to researching things into the ground, and since my definite decision to transition a few months ago I've taken to learning about transsexualism. I'm hoping to learn more about the community and myself while I'm here.

Right now I'm stuck in Vegas with my family and since we're a bunch of snowbirds we're planning on moving to the midwest sometime in the next year or so. I'm FTM and just started my gender therapy at the beginning of this month and found a GP to start my bloodwork this past week. I'm getting there but there's still a marathon to run.

Thank you for creating this amazing community.

Hey welcome!

I perked up at Vegas since I'll be moving there in about a year...but you'll be leaving then I guess. Rats!

I hope you have a good experience with this forum. I certainly have; it feels like a pretty safe place to get some of these problems off my chest (not literally though, ha, what a pity). We' re on a similar timeline though; I just got my bloodwork done, as well as about three months of gender therapy. Look forward to seeing you around the boards.

Hi Padfoot, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 10476  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

It's definitely more accepting here than other places but... You're gonna fry as soon as it hits April. Good luck staying awake while you drive! And thank you for the warm welcome!

Thanks for the great welcome everyone! I've been lurking since about October, so about 6 months. It's a pretty good source and it helped me to get a decent start on things all within a two week span.
