What do you all do for prescriptions?

Since I started, I've just been getting Walmart prescriptions.
3 Estradiol pills a day so 90 a month. 10 dollars per bottle.

The problem is Wal-mart. They ran out once before so I picked the prescription up at another Wal-mart.
All was fine.

But recently I received the last of what they had left which was 18 pills and I was told to come back the next day for the rest of it.
I come back. Now I'm told it's backordered and it'll be several weeks before the rest is in. Same for all the other Wal-marts around here.

Great. I call CVS Pharmacy to maybe get it transferred there. Nope. They order from the same place.
Same story with Walgreens.

Rite-aid gets their stock elsewhere so I get the prescription transferred there.
All seems to be going okay. I pick my order up.
Judging by the price, I assume it's a full refill rather than the remainder of what Wal-mart didn't have. No biggie, I guess they're just giving me a full one.

I get it. Oh. What do you know. A bottle with 30 pills.
They're the EXACT same pills as the ones from Wal-mart, but 3x the price?
Where on earth is the other 60 that I should be getting for that cost?

I'm still missing 42 pills for this month.

I don't have enough to last me weeks of waiting on Wal-mart to get their stock in.
The last time I went several days without taking any I started feeling absolutely horrible and do not want to deal with that again.

I'm really stressed out. I don't know how I'm supposed to deal with these companies for the rest of my life. They're driving me mad.

edit: bleh. called Rite-Aid and it turns out I still have 42 remaining to get.
I guess they're just 3x more expensive. I'll deal with it until Wal-mart has more I suppose.

It seems rather odd to me, surely there are other women living close by that are on HRT. You will find that there is a huge disparity in the price structure on all medications in various pharmacies throughout the U.S. The pharmaceutical manufacturers are ripping off American consumers as the mark-ups on their products can be 1000% on some items. Many Americans especially seniors on fixed incomes get their meds from overseas or Canadian pharmacies although some of them aren't trustworthy. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.
