Oh, it was a 'trippin' kind of day!   ;D

I took time off of work this morning, to go to the local state police precinct in order to have a fingerprint card processed, for the name change (it's free of charge on Thursday mornings).

Another girl was there for the same reason and we were told to wait in the waiting area.

I sat facing the dispatch desk and sat in my usual crossed legged 'girly posture', dressed in my usual 'en femme' work ensemble [black compression top and jeans] and took the opportunity to catch up on studies.

After a while the officer doing the fingerprinting came back to the waiting area and hesitated, looking at me intently and then said,

"Uhhh, 'Sir'?  You can come back now."

I was SOOOO tickled by that!!!  ;D ;D

That made my whole day.

Progress indeed.  ;D ;D
