Well I'm a male...at least I think I am...and I've been struggling with my gender identity for quite some time now...I'm just wondering if any of these things make me a trangender for SURE, because honestly I don't know if I am

1. I have a feminine body..wide hips, narrow shoulders, soft face...

2. this sounds weird but I could scream like a girl when I was a child, very powerfully...i obviously lost it when i went throught puberty

3. i HATE adrenaline...im not into going fast or anything like that

4. I enjoy girly tv shows...

i dont want to be transgender at all...i know im attracted to girls FOR SURE. so im wondering is it a flawed way to look at it when im looking for reasons for why im transgendered instead of feeling like i am..

Firstly, I'd recommend talking with a therapist that specialises in gender issues, you may or may not be trans, the therapist will help you work that out.

Secondly, I think you are looking at it the wrong way.. Put aside the physical and take a good, hard look at who you are on the inside. Then you might get some insight about yourself. Also, gender identity and sexual preference are 2 different things, you may even find that your preference changes if you decide that transition is for you.

Yes, take time, take a good kind look at yourself. Don't be persuaded by the opinions of others (or society) that you're this or that simply because of what you like doing, wearing, watching. Just assume that whatever you're into is normal for you, and let it all come up to the surface.

And for what it's worth, being a trans woman and being attracted to women are not mutually exclusive, believe me :).

Firstly, remember that even biological women are sometimes attracted to other women. Next, forget any preferences or physical attributes. You just said you don't want to be trans. If you don't want to be female, then that's that. You already seem to know what you want.

I spent a long time avoiding the subject, but the longer time went on, the more clear it has become.

I kept thinking that the practical solution was just to let things be as they were, but the more time has gone by, the less I could accept that as an excuse. Change comes despite what I thought would be convenient or practical. I am realizing more and more that it is much more than that and I am learning as I go.
