Google me and yeah there are several of my pictures there.  Don't really care, I am me.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

No matter what you do stuff is going to leak out. A few years back I cosplayed at a convention and someone took a picture of me without asking and ended up putting it into their youtube video one of my friends saw it and pointed it out. I know for a fact that there are images of me out there you just got to deal with it sometimes or become a hermit internet free lol.

One minor benefit to being me is that it's really quite hard to find me on the internet with just a name. With a name like Chris Baker I can't even find myself while trying to.. the local phone book here has 3 pages of Bakers. So anonymity kinda follows me around.

I have a rather distinct alias online though that I use for almost everything, but decided to make up a new one when I came here to avoid them being linked together in a google search.. though that alias isn't linked to my facebook or any other websites that easily identify me anyway.

I was planning on a name change in future, keeping the same inital, middle and last name and just changing Chris to Caitlyn. I don't see this breaking my anonymity though

If we had been clever when we joined the forum we would have chosen a profile name as generic as "Casserole", "Pasta", "Protractor" or "Automobile". Even "Star wars" would have done it.

Ya come to think of it... im wondering if this will have any negative impact on my future. Oh well, live and learn huh?
Probably not. Usually it would be people with a suspicion snooping around that would find anything, so unless that sort of thing is going on you'll be fine. I used to have an online transition with pictures and all back in 2003/2004. I've searched high and low but there's not a single shred left of it anywhere. For a while I debated whether to put up a profile picture of myself or not. I figured it'd be nice as it makes the person more real, but I did pick an older one (look a little bit different these days) and did some obfuscation just to be on the safe side.

Did you try the Wayback Machine?

Just hit that link:

https://www.google.com/search?num=10&hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=922&bih=554&q=Ax%C3%A9lle&oq=Ax%C3%A9lle&gs_l=img.3...1580.3656.0.5087.6.5.0.1.0.1.339.1282.0j2j0j3.5.0...0.0...1ac.41Hr2NdxT3M

Then click on ANY of the pics you know (of me), and you'll see what was surprise I got.
Yes, I'm such an Innocent... I know. Just by typing my first name... eish!

Well luckily, it's likely these won't be found unless you are rather specific on a search. I have images of me out there I wish I could take back but at the same time, eh it's just my picture. I can probably say at least most of the forum doesn't have a sex tape floating around because of a vengeful ex lol. Oh well. :D

Whilst you can't easily remove images that other web servers have cached, if it's an image that Google Images has cached and it's your susans.org avatar you can have it removed.

First you must remove your avatar from your profile here on the forums. Once this has been done visit: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=181721 and follow the instructions.

Basically once your avatar is removed you need to ask Google to reindex the image that used to be there.

To do this you will need to find the exact URL of the image you wish to be removed from Google's cache ( it will look something like this: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=18056;type=avatar ). You will also need to have a Google account to make the request.
