I'm thinking of teaching abroad for a year, Japan would be nice. Anyway, I just started hormone therapy though. I'm going to bring this up with my doctor but I'm just wondering if maybe I should postpone any long distance travels until a year or so has passed--till I get to the point that the hormones are just there to maintain me not change anything. Would that be best?
I guess I just need advice here. Can someone get hormones in Japan? Would I have to start seeing a different doctor over there? Could my doctor here just write me a year supply prescription? Any ideas on how this will work?
Also, I don't know if maybe I'm just wanting to do this to escape my family. I mean, Japan is cool. I would love to teach English over there and get a sense for what teaching is like. But I just wonder if I'd be doing it to get away from my family which hates me for who I am.
