They are manufactured by Koch Industries.

I was going to, I had a roll of the store brand. But there was a giant display of Brawny supporting the Wounded Warrior Project. I bought the 8 pack of Brawny. Hugs, Devlyn

I buy the dg brand at dollar general, but only cause I'm so poor. Otherwise I would splurge and buy viva. I never liked brawny because it just wasn't that great a paper towel.

I buy cheap paper towels because it's stupid to spend a ton of money on something like that. Now, toilet paper? That's different. Using cheap stuff is harsh and especially rough on the nose.
I blow my nose on paper towels. Tissue is too wimpy for my huge honker, lol.

Same here.  Brawny did have an internal tiff over the lumberjack on the package.  The previous one reminded some in their marketing department of a "1970's porno guy" as in Midnight Cowboy.  They changed the Lumberjack image that some called the latest one the "Metrosexual".   Isn't "Metrosexual" just one step away from "Gay Guy"?

Here's a list of Koch paper products. It normally doesn't do much good to boycott a single product like that.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/08/24/895947/-Boycott-Koch-Products
This link also lists ALL Koch products. Impressive list.
Koch is huge, makes me wonder how effective a boycott of Koch could be.
Most effective boycotts (table grapes, tomatoes from Taco bell, canned tuna, etc.) were of a limited product that was easy to get your head around.
I'm happy to boycott their paper products though.

I don't use any of their products except for Angel Soft, and that's because I can get 12 or more rolls for $4 where I work.  Though I just discovered another brand I like better and will probably fork out the extra $2 for instead.  It's not all that big of a deal for me.

Now, if y'all were like boycott Taco Bell or Chef Boyardee then I might have a problem, lol.

Yeah though my point is that there are so many products I don't know how much good a boycott is. Effective boycotts  (perhaps the most effective was the Montgomery Bus Boycott) are very focused. Mind you I am not opposed to it, but I am getting my roof reshingled (yeah poor me. The insurance is only covering half of it). Anyway I would be willing to bet taht shingles are made by Koch industries and that no roofer has ANY idea.
