It's not 2 weeks, though, it's 5. Count from your surgery date. Everyone's different for healing times.

Hey Tessa,

Congrats to you too! Brassard was one of my choices, but after looking at some of his work and the price, I decided on Suporn, hope it goes smooth for you.
I don't really know recovery wise, but from all accounts, allow for 8 weeks, and hope for better, like Rachl says, everyone is different for healing times

So it looks like I may have to postpone my surgery, still a little unsure, but I've just been hired for a new job starting tomorrow, which will allow me to save what i need in the next year (it pays really good) it's a pretty incredible opportunity, but at this stage I haven't been able to speak with my employer regarding time off, and given the role, it may not be possible, so as much as it is important to me to have my surgery on my birthday, it may not happen - has anyone else had this issue, having to cancel after setting the date?  It's left me feeling pretty mixed up inside

Hey Tessa,

Thanks for the response, I don't know how my boss would react to me taking time off, I haven't disclosed my trans status, and pass well enough that I don't need to, Its a strange situation though because I was hired though a labour hire company, with the view to be taken on longterm if successful.  I'm sure I could get another job if I had to, but this is a pretty incredible opportunity and the kind of thing that doesn't' come along every day.  All I can do is wait until I start and have a conversation, if its a deal breaker for her, then I need to weigh up my options and see where I stand
